I taste licorice in many AVE juices, which are also strong and take a good cleaning to get out of atty, probably the same with tanks and cartos. Have you cleaned out the equipment before trying new juice?

Also, some ingredients and the way you vape could play tricks with your taste buds. Drink water and clean out your tongue and soft palate on roof of mouth. Taste buds take time to recover, 1 day to 2 weeks!

They're Rockstar and Virgin Vapor juices. Only one is a tabacco flavor and I tried them on new cartomizers and atomizers. I don't prefer glass, that's just how those particular vendors roll. It's strange, they all smell good and the first few drags taste exactly like vanilla, caramel, etc. but then it changes.

Thought maybe it was a bad batch of nic they were using, or too much nic. All 18mg. My palate is fine, I think, because all my other juices taste great and exactly like they always have. Guess that's what I get for trying something new ;)

Try putting them away for a month or two. See this discussion:

Some of us seem to be able to taste something in the juices that others don't. It's not them, it's you. Some juices have "it" and some don't. Unfortunately, the ones you ordered do. And if a vendor has "it" in their juice, it seems to be in all their juices. I described it as a mildew taste, but I think you're experiencing the same thing. The good news is that when I tried them again several weeks later, the unpleasant taste was gone, and they taste fine. Either the bad tasting component had dispersed, or the taste had something to do with a particular taste-bud recovery phase I was going through.

VaporBomb was my favorite "it"-free vendor when I was having this issue. None of their juices had it, and they sell VG liquids, so I had a safe place to try juices.

Now, a few months later, I have a shoebox full of formerly awful, now perfectly lovely, juices to vape. (And a collection of pretty blue bottles.)

Yes, I bought a bunch of juices from Rockstar vapor, too, and could not vape any of them - they all had the same off-putting taste. I went through a rough, and expensive, few weeks trying to find a juice I liked. I don't tolerate PG well, and I was searching for a VG juice that I liked. The first few vendors I tried ALL had "it". Dozens of bottles of juices that smelled great and tasted awful. Since it was in all the flavors I tried from those vendors, it must be in the nic base that they use - maybe part of the extraction process. It was so frustrating for me.

Fortunately, I now have reliably delicious juices and I can turn my attention to finding the perfect carto.
