Lifespan of a typical battery?

Just wondering if anyone knows. Some of my batts have died young after a serious fall, some have wandered off, and some seem to be ageless. But typically, long before any of my batts have died, I've simply moved on to a newer model in search of a more perfect vape. I'll bet I'm not alone in that.

What's weird is that in two years I can't recall actually experiencing the ending of a batt's natural lifespan. How long would that be, say, charging a mostly empty batt once per day? What are the signs? Anyone kept track of such stuff?

I'm sure Morandir does.....

I know the signs and have had them die. When they start to show fully charged after only being on the charger for 30 minutes...they only have a few uses left. Finally they will show they need a charge, but when you put them on the charger the light just stays green.......

Jeffree sir oddly enough someone has. The biggest sign in decreased capacity. A dying cell will stop holding it's charge as long as it used to. Depending on charging habits, what charger, etc. you can get as few as 207 charges, to as many as 416 before seeing cell degradation.

Thanks to dr snowlipz and darth yoda I avoid deep cycling like the plague and hope I never have to see a battery funeral

But said funeral is certainly an interesting issue, good post Jeff!

It varies for me but since following Morandirs no deep cycling rule they are lasting longer

I used to be really really good about the no-deep-cycling rule once Morandir posted the data on it; alas, these manual KDs hit so freaking well that unless I'm paying really close attention, I don't even notice the diminished draw until that dreaded blinking begins!

Oh well. I can now replace (at least some) of my manual KDs when they die an early death with the new TITANS!
