After 10 years of all day vaping I have noticed myself coughing sometimes (I also smoke therapeutic natural herbs, mostly in wax form, and sometimes by traditional burning.) For sometime I have been looking for a ecigarette that has a low vapor output to limit the amount of chemicals I put into my body. I have tried different atomizers and cartomizers, and tried using those at lower voltages, but I never found the vapor output I was looking for.

I began experimenting with rebuildable atomizers, and I have begun to make some progress to getting a low vapor ecig. My latest attempts are using a mini rebuildable dripping atomizer, with 30-34 gauge wire, 1-2 coil loops, 3mm silica wick (single or double layered) or organic cotton in the coils, and getting resistances of 1.2 Ohms to 2.5+ Ohms. Each atty build gives a different result, a few of them have been close to perfect, but many/most are still lacking flavor and crispness.

I made this thread for other ecig users who may be looking for a low vapor ecig, and to possibility get some advice on building a atomizer with low vapor output and good flavor.

Chad.

Ive set up my kayfun lite to run pretty low, 5.5-5.8 watts and gives a nice cool, low amount of vapor in an attempt to mimic coil heads from the protank mini 2.

5 spaced wraps of 32g kanthal and a small amount of cotton. 1 mm above air hole and run diagonally across. I've found the amount of cotton plays a big roll in not only flavor but amount of vapor. You want as little cotton as possible but enough so there's no dry spots.

I use this in combination with another KFL running a lower gauge wire for when I'm in the mood for a more satisfying vape.
