Ok so for the past 3 weeks i have been going absolutely crazy with my Vs Rdna 40. I have tried every possible build i could think of with my 28 and 30 gauge ni200 wire from lightning vapes. 410-460 degrees does not produce good vapor AT ALL! I get weak cold vape.. 470-520 is where ive been operating at for a nice vape! Ive realllllyyy been going crazy with this and have realllyyyyy put in countless hours rebuilding.
I finnaly found a thread on reddit with some people with the same problem and he found it to be the wire. Im going to list the variables wich lead me to believe he is correct and its faulty wire

authentic aeolus, ehpro vertex v2, plume veil clone all with same result
alll build have been stable resistance trapped under screws
wicking! Tried every way possible rayon/ cotton
coil builds everything from 7 wrap 28 gauge 2mm to 19 wrap 28 gauge 3mm.... 30 gauge same woth dual coils as well
Steam engine gives me slightly higher resistance then im getting ie. .17 ohms where steam says i should get .19-.20

This has been driving me up a wall.... I found the thread on reddit and the op has alll my exact symptoms, maybe 4 other people commented after saying lightning vapes ni200 gave em the same problem.
Im trying to get some temco now seems hard to get. In the meantime i ordered master of clouds ni200 hopefully will work correctly!!!!!
i will also do a dry burn to see wat temp the rayon burns, but i can tell ya at 510-520 it wont burn loll

I really truly do not want to hurt their reputation as the vast majority has no problem... Im not 100% sure its the ni200 and wont be until o try diff wire... I have only found a handfull of people with the same problem and one found it to be the wire... I will post what happens with new ni200 asap
Even if it is my ni200 99.9% chance yours will b fine they do have a good reputation that i def do not want to spoil, ESP if im wrong and its my dna 40 or something else

I have bought 30 gauge NI200 from LV and it's OK. I find it way too soft to capture good under the grub screws. To get a good quality vape experience with the plain NI200 30 gauge from LV, I had to twist strands 2 or even 3 was better. Did you try twisting a few strands together? I'm having way better luck with tempered NI200 from SV :)

Ive tried everything i can to get it to operate under 460degrees on rtas and under 480degrees on rdas and it just doesnt happen.... I was under the impression everybody was vaping from 410-460 but theres always somebody saying 480 is good.... Look at youtube vids and their coils are popping and vaping hard at 430 degrees and i get 0vapor at that temp... The softbess and that just took some practice and getting 30gauge coils perfect with rayon is a nightmare but ive done it lolll... 28 is veryyyyyyy easy to work with and my coils come immaculate but cant get that result at the temps other people are... LV is not made in usa and until i get some temco i cant say its the wire for sure, i may just be wrong about what to expect out of my temps

Wow I am suprised to find this thread as im past this problem now but I want to chime in.

Basically, .F * * * lightning vapes wire. I too have rdna40, with lightning vapes wire. It caused so much headache upon owning it that I THOUGHT my brand new rdna40 was defective so I actually sent in my brand new actually working pristine device to VS to get warrantied for no reason other than the wire.

I had your same exact symptoms, I never thought it could be the wire. Then, on reddit someone else was having the same problem. He bought temco wire and confimed it was lightning vapes that was giving poor readings. Basically it reads 100F off. So if you want the TP mode to be @ 410, youd have to set it @ 510.

Ive always hated their circular wire dispenser, this gave me an even bigger reason to hate them. The pretty much cost me a brand new rdna40.

I might be a lucky guy. Using 28g ni200 from LV and see no serious problems with it so far.No need to work harden the wire, actually I always forgot to do that lol.

You might need to try letting it refine for some good time. Some times I get no vapor or hit TP in 2 seconds, but after 10-20 minutes of letting it sit cooling down and refinement, I never hit TP anymore.

Not sure about temp reading off, but I always get the temp. at 300-350 and after 2 tanks of kayfun @13-15w I saw the burnt part in the middle of the cotton.

Why don't you just get some tempered 30 gauge from Stealth Vapes? It's a lot easier to work with and the no track shipping option is cheep and pretty fast to :)
My 30 gauge from LV is gathering dust since I got my Tempered NI200 :)

someone needs to post whether they think Master of Clouds and Atomizer Wick brands are the same product that Lightning Vapes is selling or if they're different. I want to buy another spool of wire, but I don't want to get more wire that has the same issue the LV seems to have.
