lil help here, please!

checked with the voltmeter and the power is always on. good thing is that it lets through below 5V like when i have a single 18650 in. with 3V batts in i get 4.99V... now how do i fix this switch?
FWIW with regulators it's best to use a pair 3.7V batteries if you want to maintain 5V for any length of time (especially regs like that which drop below the target voltage).

this is the switch im using
Mini Push Button Switch -- Black
since they're rated only .5A i thought that this would be the only way i could use them up. i'd be nice to have a 3.7 and 5V flashlight in one device by just swapping batts guess i'll swap devices instead and gonna be putting this on the side before i get all frustrated and break tha thing all along. :(
