Liquid coming up to fripper

Learning to build and built a 1.4 ohm single coil using 28g wire and Japanese cotton on a kayfun Lite as i anxiously wait for my Lemo 2.

It seems ok but I think it could be better as I am getting a tiny bit of liquid coming up the chimney to drip tip. I am using a Provari 2.5 and running it at 4 volts.

Off the top of the ol' head... a few that come to mind:

An air leak (o-ring seal quality/condition). tank vacuum is reduced or lost - you loose the "boundary layer" pressure differential and juice can flow much more freely up the juice channels.

AFC set "tight". An overly tight draw can distribute too much of your draw vacuum to the tank. Usually, it's the other way around and you're not pulling enough juice... but there's no reason why an overly tight AFC couldn't produce a excessive amount of liquid in the vaporization chamber.

Incorrect coil and/or wick layout... wick too short, too light a roll density (too tight a roll density is the usual concern).
Wick should lay over and cover the juice channels, to restrict/control draw vacuum at the boundary layer.

Coil too low on the build deck... should be a 1.5mm (or a bit more) gap between coil and center air tube/screw. Usually, this would be a contributor to juice in the AFC, but under the right circumstances, juice could go the other way as well.

Draw pressure that greatly exceeds the AFC potential. In other words, you're drawing too hard and/or too long.

I did put the coil as low as I could without touching and I also think the cotton is to tight, seems like the nature of the Japanese muji or whatever it's called.

I made the coil about 2mm in diameter and thinking maybe to big or too small. With the cotton I'm always worried of getting enough in there, maybe a cotton ball undone may better suit my style.

I will post pics of my next build and maybe you can critique it. If that don't work then I will change the seals

Your coil size is fine... other than with a smaller ID coil, folks have a tendency to roll and/or fit them too tight, so they can get the wick in the ID.
I usually run around 2.4mm ID myself - finding that ID allows me a good feel of fit-in-coil. Cuts down a bit on wrap count... but short or long, thin or fat, coil surface area remains the same for a given resistance.

Although I've tried most of the popular Japanese cotton products... I still prefer the density and fit control I have with good ol' "unrolled" cotton balls. Wick roll length (for KFL+ and R91%) usually runs around 1" +/-.

I have been playing with the air register screw and it's still the same more or less. I do pull pretty hard especially as my lung capacity has increased.

I will try with unrolled cotton balls as I think it's easier to work with and a little wider diameter and use about a 1" piece of cotton and go from there.
