Hi all,
I am quite new to vaping (since December) and I'm using Aspire CF VV+ with a nautilus mini tank.

I have a question I need help answering as I don't know whether it is just normal or if I have a faulty tank/base hardware.

When I come to charging my device I have to unscrew the tank from the battery but each time I notice there is some liquid (not a lot) on both the connectors from the battery and tank. Is this normal to see some liquid seeped through?

FYI, I always check to see whether my atomiser is tightly screwed to the actual base hardware and seals are not broken.
I've included photos to show what I'm talking about

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi SXR
Even with all the seals working and the coil not leaking moisture can find its way to this point. Condensation in the chimney (the part the air is rising up into your mouth) is normal and it can run down past the coil into the base then find its way past the pin onto the mod's pin. Yes it is normal.

Excellent photos @SXR Prodigy

A little seeping is just about manageable. Beware too much though.

Now, about those bases. Nautilus bases (like most) have a Silicone bung/seal and they do degrade over time. The color of you photo shows that the material has changed from new and will probably get worse.
Eventually, you will need new bases anyway, as the insides rust and the connection gets bad etc. etc.

I chose not to replace mine for the main reason that Aspire like to charge a lot for the bases and tend to sell them only through the Aspire shops (which I wouldn't use in the first place as it's all much too expensive).

If you like the tank, buy a new one (or two).

Hi guys, thank you all for your added contribution to my query.:thumb:
I did too notice the rubber seal around the metal connector from the base was turning yellow and is the area where the liquid is coming from.
It's a shame I have to replace it so soon as it's only 1-2 months old. That leads to my new question then, how often do you need replace the base?

I do try to give that area a clean by wiping the excess but not tried using any solution to making it look clean/white again.

Thanks again

Hard to say. All my minis are old now, but saw about one year's service (3 of them)..... but I don't use these sorts of tanks at home, so a few months (6?) might be a good result if you just have one.
If the silicone is still pliable (soft-ish) and is not mis-shaped you might have a while still.

I have always had a roll of paper towels nearby. If not one steep, then it is another steep.

I keep paper towels in my vape pack and with all my gear for ease of access. Keep napkins handy in the truck for an X mechanic who is used to having grease or oil on his hands funny how a little e-Liquid bothers me. Hate a sticky or gooey MOD. Oh lets not forget the Hand Sanitizer.
