Okay, I am somewhat confused - more so because everyone seems to either call their liquids something different and the same w/ descriptions... Everyone has a slightly different description on the liquid types they sell...

So, short question...
If I were to purchase (and no reason at this time for the specific brand names used, if any here)
Loran Flavoring
PG liquid at Tractor Store
VG liquid at Grocery or craft store

Where would I buy nicotine liquid?
& I am asking about straight up nicotine liquid... OR is all nicotine liquid mixed already w/ PG??

I guess I am not understanding why people speak of buying PG in bulk locally... Why?
You still need nicotine liquid, Right? & does it not contain PG already??
Confused and need help...
The only form of DIY I have done in the short 2 weeks I have been vaping is mixing pre-mixed flavors...
i.e. Rum & Coke
TAB & Menthol
Coconut, Cream, & Hiltun
etc, etc

If I am to understand DIY at all- can anyone explain the above^- ?
Thx!

Unless you are a chemist with a lab and a complete bio hazard set-up, you wouldn't buy 100% liquid nicotine.

You would buy a 24, 36 or 48mg e-juice/liquid and dilute it with the PG and/or VG and then add the flavoring. (You can even buy lower strength juice/liquid and mix it down. Depending on what kind of nicotine strength you need.)

So yes, the nicotine should come pre-mixed with PG and/or VG.

Ordering 100% liquid nicotine would also bring you to the attention of the US Government.

Thx Valkerie & one of the main points I had- Since it already has PG in it... what is the use of the "extra" PG?
Is that just so you can buy a higher strength and then "cut it" w/ the PG or VG or both to disperse it into multiple bottles and create more volume?
I think I am starting to get it if that is correct.
So you buy...
i.e.
50 ml of 48 mg nicotine (I guess this would be the flavorless...?)
and if you have 10 bottles you can make ... 10 ml bottles by putting 5 ml of nic liquid in each bottle and ... 5 ml PG?? or ... well, I know that wouldn't be exact measurements... I will have to look at the way people are cutting it down- I guess if it were 50/50 that would cut the 48 mg to 24 mg...? so you could actually add even more PG and less nic to get an even lower strength...? but then how do you determine by volume how much flavor to add??
I guess I am getting into more depth questioning here then I intended by my original post...
I appreciate any help- I am becoming intrigued by the DIY because I used to make candy and create my own flavors-
I just had a few thoughts on that note as well as making the flavors more flavorful than what some appear to have.. (I am currently waiting on my order from Dawn at DIYFlavorShack, I can't wait, I am so excited)- Thx again for any help... I may look into a DIY kit from her next order if I can grasp the concept here...

No it won't. And you can order it in a PG solution of 50%, 30%, or 1mg/mL from a midwest company here in the US. I certainly have not gotten any knocks on my door yet.

Take care,
- Hap

Note: I definitely do NOT recommend working with high concentrations without serious study of safety and hazard concerns. Working with any lab grade material is serious biz.

You can buy high-strength nic-juice (as I tend to call the flavorless liquid with nicotine). Stuff that's too strong to vape directly. So you add flavorings and PG and/or VG to cut the nicotine strength down to what you desire.

15ml of 48mg mixed with 15ml of PG gives you 30ml of 24mg. 50/50, so the nic is at 50% strength.
15ml of 48mg with 45ml of PG gives you 25/75, so 12mg e-juice.

Flavoring amounts depends on the flavor (how strong it is) and how strong you like your final product to be. So if you like strong flavors, and use a weak flavoring, you might mix at 33% (15ml flavoring mixed with 30ml everything else) or even stronger. Some folks here use flavorings at 5%. An estimate for now is to figure that your final product will be 15% - 20% flavoring.
