I pulled out my Nautilus mini last night. I was planning on tossing a sample juice I had in the tank to see what if it was good enough to buy more. What I found was that I had put the tank away with some juice still in it (I coulda sworn I cleaned that thing out months ago). It was only about a 1/4 inch in the bottom, but whatever it was had turned a dark green - almost black. I have no idea what juice was in there when I set it aside. I went ahead and gave the parts a bath in Dawn and then dropped the rinsed parts into a cup of rubbing alcohol for an overnight soak. The alcohol was slightly greenish this morning when I rinsed everything off. 2 questions... What in the world would cause the liquid to turn dark green? And should I clean it again, just to be sure before using it?

My first suggestion is quit using Dawn on your tanks. The dye in that may have something to do with the color you've described. Best thing I have found is to clean your tanks in a vodka/water solution. Rubbing alcohol can leave a really funny taste even if you've rinsed the tank well.

You also may have gotten a hold of some "Soylent Green" juice. Remember "Soylent Green is people!!!"

In case you don't get the reference and/or haven't seen the movie...

Drink your vodka, no sense in wasting it to clean. Now something like Mad Dog 50/50 go ahead and use to clean. I only use dishwater and hot water to clean, an old toothbrush does wonders for the nooks and crannies. A second cleaning won't hurt anything, just rinse well.

No clue what would have made it turn dark green unless it was green to begin with. Most colorful vapes get deeper as time wears on.

I have two Nautilus Mini's that have juice in it that has been sitting for about a month. Both juices turned a dark pink. I've vaped it and didn't notice a difference in taste. Both juices started as clear juices. One is pineapple/mango/citrus (Jungle Fever by Ruthless), the other is Japanese aged plum and cider (Annie by Flavies). The tanks were only ever washed with plain hot/warm water. The coils were new when the juice went in it. It's just the juice oxidizing.....I wouldn't worry about it.
