As above, its the nicotine oxidising. Usually liquid is steeped (matured like wine and whiskey) and the steeping means its the colour its going to be when you buy it. If you mix your own or have fresher shop bought juice it darkens when you have it.

Also you can speed steep it by applying heat so often just the heat from the coil will steep the juice as you are using it so it can darken right in front of your eyes, although its as fast as watching paint dry

Hi all
Does anyone know why my liquid keeps turning brown in my tank?
Thanks

If it's turning brown AFTER you put it in your tank then it's the coil and wick. They're too gunked up with old, half burned juice and need to be cleaned or replace. This is especially true if you just fill the tank, take a puff without hitting the fire button, and can watch brown leak out of the wicks back into the liquid.

Lot of variables there. What kind of liquid, what voltage/wattage you vaping it at, how old is the coil?

It's vape wild liquid..3mg ..it's clear when I put it in the tank..the tank is a protank and I have been using it less then a week..I don't know the voltage as it is a plain ego 1100 battery..I know that as the liquid ages it can turn brown due to the nic in it..but it's once I put it in the tank is when it's turning brown..I guess it's the coil..it don't taste burnt or bad..taste just like the flavor it's suppossed to be..guess it's nothing to worry about..Thanks for all the respones.

Yep nothing to worry about. Just rinse your tank and coil from time to time in warm water and all will be well. Allow the coil to dry overnight. I just rotate a couple of coils for this purpose and let my freshly rinsed one dry until it is time to rinse the other one.

Yea, that's just the gunk coming off the wick. Not really a problem, but you're probably not far from needing to either clean/dry burn that coil or replace it. Draw is probably starting to get a little tighter? PT 1 and 2 coils are really easy to rewick, even recoil if you have an ohm meter. Just a dry burn and rewick makes a ton of difference tho!
