You didn't specify what setup you have but on my kfl+ with box mod that happens with certain juices, mainly cheaper ones and I had a bad shipment. They tasted fine in the beginning but they didn;t feed the wick well and also gunked up the coil and wick. When you tear it down do the coil and wick look as bad as the juice?

Yes, both are dark brown and gunky. I tried using 34 gauge stainless steel wire instead of Kanthal- A1. Got little or no discoloration after a full atty. The taste did not change after using up all the juicy peach in my Kangertech T3s atty. The Coil wick stayed very clean while vaping all the liquid. The wire coil was cobalt blue and clean. bought my wire 34 gauge at AC More in the Jewelry section. The number of coils will determine the resistance you are after. I have been using cotton for a wick with a few strands of rope wick over the top for a flavor wick. Kanthal-A1 breaks down while vaping and I believe it turns the juice brown.

to ecf. I am so glad you are here. I use to see this happen all the time and the gunked up coils will ruin the taste of the juice for sure. I think that is why I love the reo so much. The ultimate dripper in my opinion. Juice is always fresh. The very best way to avoid this is to use a rebuildable atomizer and periodically do a dry burn and change the cotton wick. Makes a big difference in the flavors. I was afraid to rebuild my coils for a long time and kept putting it off but you really should not. Very easy with the help of ecf and YouTube. And very economical too. But there is plenty of time to get into all the DIY stuff. Just enjoy vaping. Have fun.
