Hi all!

Welp, I did it. I got myself a CoolFire4.

But not just ANY CF4. What took me over the edge was when I discovered that Phiniac is now doing etched and powdered coated mods. They are, simply put, amazing. I’ve held and used a stock CF4, and the difference is both significant and magnificent.

They offer three different options (for the coating):

Basic: 40% shine.
Sparkle: A sparkly powder coating (see my pic for reference).
Mirror: 100% shine.

Any of the three options greatly reduces the scratchability & chipability factors.

Interestingly enough, the premium we pay for it is nominal. Still under $50, yet an absolutely gorgeous mod by pretty much any definition.

If anyone is considering a CF4, this is a no-brainer.

Oh my gosh Kat that is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Alden and others, I'm writing here because I trust you all very much. I just started rebuilding and really like it. I do, however, find dripping to be a "pita." I've read about RTA's but I don't know about any of them. Do any of you have any recommendations? I keep hearing about kayfuns, but hate the price. Are there reasonable RTAs? Are they hard to build? Are any of the ones at FT worth a darn? I am rebuilding my subtank mini (the original mini not the new or star wars version), with much success, but shinyitis has hit and I want more. Any suggestions?

My favorite RTA is Kayfun 4 because if offers a bit more airflow--earlier Kayfuns were just a tad too restricted for my taste. Tobeco makes the best clone, IMHO. Yes, it's over engineered, but the vape quality is outstanding. I got mine on sale for 10 bucks, but that was some time ago. You can find a Tobeco clone for under 20 bucks, I believe. If you can handle your Subtank's rebuild, you'll have no problems with K4.

Tobeco Kayfun 4 V4 RBA Rebuildable Atty

Good luck!

What's the size comparison between the IPV Mini and the SX Mini? I know they're approximately the same size. Picture comparisons would be extremely helpful.

I'm still eyeballing the SX Mini. I know I'll end up buying one at some point.

I had them both for a while (two SX Minis and one IPV Mini). They are exactly the same size & weight, with just slight difference in the shape. I'd give you pics but I sold both of the SX Mini's, so I'm unable to do so now.

They couldn't come up with a better name? I am NOT vaping on something that sounds so much like "Pooper".

Maybe to make the un-initiated think it's Cloupor?

"Super Gravitivity Polarity Flux Capacitor Variation" and whatever other nonsense,

Maybe Cloupor changed it's name. Not a terrible idea considering.... (even though that's fixed now ;- )

Thanx guys...really helpful buying decision information there...

Sweet Vapes says that it is 83.8mm -x- 41mm -x- 24.5mm

Koopor Mini 60W TC - YIHI, SMOK - Electronic Mods

Thanx zoiD...the (missing) dimensions and a site to buy it from...

No Problem gerrymi.

Sweet Vapes hasn't set any Price yet. But I have found them Usually to be about in the Middle of the Heard when it comes Pricing.

So I Imagine that they would come in around $55 ~ $60

I looked at the kangxin for a backup, but went with the similar, non TC Smowell. Will report back when it finally arrived from china.
Smowell went right into the vapocolypse box. Hex screw battery cover awful. Arced batteries trying to load. Tiny screws flying away,no stops on them. Longer and flimsier than expected. Maybe if I trusted onboard USB charger the major downsides would be lessened; I don't.

I dunno?

I have used my Smowell constantly for about 4 Months. I haven't had any Problems with the USB Charger. And I haven't taken the Battery out since about the 3rd Day I got it.

In fact, it was about my Favorite Mod until about 2 Days ago. That is when my iStick TC Mod Arrived.

Now.... All of my other Mods Pale in Comparison.

LOL

I dunno if I am any more Knowledgeable that Many here in this Thread.

But I have used my Smowell Daily for 4 Months (about 100+ Charges) and I haven't had a Single Problem. I also haven't seen any Real problems on Google. And the Reviews are all Pretty Much Positive on FT where I got it.

I do think that an Easy to Replace 18650 is a Plus. And I agree, Replacing the Battery in my Smowell Isn't something I would want to do at Every Charge.

But I feel Pretty Good about the Onboard Charging. And My Theory with electronics is that Most of the Time if there is going to be a Problem, you will Usually see it Sooner than Later.

I AM NOT ALONE!

Sorry, Zoid - I know you like yours, and am NOT intending to offend. But I couldn't help but laugh when I read @gmoney$ post. Just for the laughs, a reminder... :)

I remember when you Got Yours.

I still kinda smile ever once and while when I look at my Smowell and think of you posting that you couldn't get the Battery into your Mod.

:);):blink::lol:

ME TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:laugh:

Your response was absolutely classic. I'll NEVER forget it!

So, Zoid, are you using the iStick in TC mode with your Ti wire? ~100 degrees F below Ni200?
