update: ordered some aspire bvc coils from Discount Vapors and finally got around to trying them in the subtank mini. It's been a week and so far, no leaking that I was getting with the Kanger OCCs and the rba. Thanks to Katya and I'm assuming KatD and DPLongo and others that confirmed along the way. Haven't tried them in the ST nano, but assume those who said it can't be done are right. :)

So now I have three STminis I can revive.... I'm going to wait a while since the original stuff didn't go leaky for a while but the one that was leaking is not now leaking.... so promising.... I had to remove the one oring at the point of insertion - tried to keep that there as well but doubling up on it only formed a 'loop' outside of the fitting :- ) So the oring on the BVC was sufficient. Flavor, draw, airflow near identical.

Glad they are working for you!

I got the idea from @ENAUD via @choochoogranny and @Taxguydave... No idea who came up with the original idea of trying Aspire BVC coils in a STM... I wouldn't have thought about doing this in a million years... :lol:

BTW, I still don't understand why your other coils leak--I've tried the horizontal and the vertical replaceable ones and the RBA--not a drop. Bizarre.

Jerry I have the newish AW 800 mAh 12A. I'm lovin this bitty lil' mod.

I SO wish that LG, Sony or Panasonic would get in the 18350 game!! 800mAh and $8 in half the volume capacity of what we know can hold as much as 3500mAh, bAh! We want moAr!!

Edit: I JUST paid $4.75 apiece for 3000mAh LG HG2 18650's.. AW needs some competition.

Ummm,,,, that might have been me, Katyaya. I saw it in a blurb from Twisted, and shared it with a few people. Not owning a subtank, I never had the op to try it, but I'm sure glad it worked for people! :)

Based solely on that pic and that name :shock: I'm a big NO THANK YOU! :lol:

Just a lil PSA. According to Baditude, those Efest 18350's have a 6 amp cdr. I wouldn't take them below 1 ohm. 0.7 ohms on a fresh charged battery is RIGHT at the 6amp cdr.

Also, my experience with the Efest 18350 flat top (button top doesn't work in my e-pipe), they don't hold a charge as long as the 700mAh AW's. But! $1 vs. $8, yeah... ;)

I think this is what you're talkin' about...

MFS has them on clearance for 97 cents each :shock:

Efest IMR 18350 800mah mod battery

I don't do Efest, myself, especially after reading this:

An open letter to Efest...you've gone too far

hahaha... thanks for the Link, Katya! Oh boy, Efest bit off a lil more than they could eschew taking on MOOCH like that.. Anyone with vape experience pretty much already equates
Efest=Shady, watch out for them!
Mooch=Trustworthy, take that advice!

Top rejected slogans for Efest batteries:
"Safer than a Russian sub."
"The perfect gift for your mother-in-law."
"Pop one in your mod today."
"Reinforcing the importance of Ohms Law."

I just figured that ‘other’ battery company with FIRE in their name
had enuff of the bad rap and switched their name…

as far as the battery industry, wondering why anyone with a clue,
would put out a product with Fire as their logo:eek:

I guess form your own opinion...

Well...I think I've given up my interest in purchasing a COV Mini Volt.

In the COV thread I asked:

Does that mean if you don't use it for 15-20 minutes...it will automatically shut OFF...then will have to click Fire Button 5 times to turn it back ON???

The answer:

Yes - it turns completely off and you have to click fire 5 times to turn it on.

Not necessarily a bad thing, for this unit it is a life saver for the way it was programed.

Without it, there would be a lot of bricked units. There is a system glitch when plugging in the charger as the screen shuts off, and acts like there is no charger. The second you unplug the device, it kicks into "brick mode" because the device is confused. At this point the device is completely unusable/unable to do anything, until it "auto shuts off" then can resume usage as normal.
