A number of the Chinese sites sell it alone.
Thinking of buying one because of the strap. I need something that won't fall in the water when kayaking.

that's what attracted me to it, the strap/lanyard (& size, features, UD name)
when in beach attire (no/not many pockets) a lanyard is a must...

I don't buy overseas and none of MY vendors offer it 'standalone'
but then gerrys' idea is getting close ;)

tho, thinkin that ship has passed me by...

:)

I bought my balrog from FT . It took almost a month to get. The main reason to buy was the strap. I did pay around $36.00 and shipping was free. It does vape smooth and is close to Istick size. I would buy another from the USA vender but want white for the second one. Only FT has the three colors at this time.

Don't get me wrong, the features of the Balrog are great! For me personally right now my ranking of the 18650 box mods:

1. Pico (88 grams)

... big break ...

2. Athena 35W (74 grams)
3. Balrog (128 grams)

One reason for ranking the Balrog just behind the Athena is the subjective comfort by lower weight and less volume :)

I have the Athena . I don't like it for :
1. NO spring loaded 510 pin . POOR Design like the Istick 20
2. Battery is a pain to change compared to other mods
3. No lock
4. small buttons

How ya going to fuse aliens with only 200 watts?.... HUH?

My goal is to get to the point where I'm using less than 1% of the total output capabilities of my mod. At 11 watts, that means I need something 1101W or greater.

It's my own personal version of sub-ohming, and is as close as I'll ever get to the concept. I'll fuse those aliens with my leftovers. ;)

Why 1%?

30 - 50 should still provide enough headroom to never stress either the electronics or the battery(ies).

Because I want to be able to say that I sub-ohm (or sub-watt, or sumpin').

I like "sub-watt". It has a nice sound to it. Say it a few times, quickly.

I would enjoy being a sub woofer in a Bugatti, would be quite happy sub woofing in a Aston Martin DB7
