Oh dear Turtle..... Re: your question about light-weight replaceable 18650, I'll concur with Longo - I have a couple of Picos, and they're quite lovely. Now, on the FLIP side.... it's a larger format, but the istick TC60 is quite light as well. I believe it's construct is more hardened plastic framing, rather than the metal. I don't have them side by side, but I've picked up my TC60 and about punched myself in the eye because it moved so quickly o_O (i.e. didn't need quite as much heft to lift as other mods....)
As soon as Sir Longo mentioned the Pico I went out and ordered one for her. If she doesn't like it, well, I've been eying that thang anyways.

But funny that you should mention the TC60W. That it what she has been using for a couple of months. Then about two weeks ago she said, "this thing is too heavy. I'm going back to my (toss away) istick 20s." I hate to see her using those and then blitching about the lousy threads, the lousy 510 pos pin, and the lousy lifetime of the built-in batt. I should have gotten the motorcycle, the bachelor pad, and the freedom instead of the 32 years of blitching marriage. :?:

OOOOOPSIE! Nevahmind.

So many possible directions; so little time..... :sneaky:

VT, I know the iStick 20s are meh, but they do have the 510/510 adapters to help with that issue. Battery life - can't help ya there. Wismec Presa 75? That's not bad, but if she thinks the iStick TC60s are heavy????? Hrm.....

:D

MY lightest is the Heatvape Defender, but I'm not the best source in this area.

Tried that for her. She didn't like the hand feel. Whatever! It's in my stash (and occasional use) now.

Women! I could never satisfy them.

But that's another story.

Senior Turtle,

The defender is heavier than the Pico. The pico is the lightest that I have, I don't have the istick 60 TC, but the pico is lighter than the evic, the wismecs (any of the ones I have rollo or Presa), the kbox, sub box. The only thing that I have that is lighter is the mini Jedi, which I got when it was on sale for under $20. The hand feel and quality of the pico is far superior to the Jedi (IMHO).

Senorita Poke, thank you for the validation of my very recent purchase that I based solely on the recommendation of the (semi-dubious) Longo department of the Kat/Longo Foundation.

Or is it the Longo/Kat Foundation? Or maybe the Darling-Longoes?

So, I just have to share my "adventures" in vaping from the past week, and emphasize the need to bring back ups for your back ups when traveling. Also, please note that I am a juice switcher, I usually have a minimum of 5 mods running all with different tanks and different flavors.

I had to go to a convention that I help put on. The convention lasts 5 days, but since I am on the planning committee I was going to be out of town, at a hotel without transportation for 8. I brought what I thought was ample gear, and gear that if it got lost, stolen, etc. I thought I wouldn't mind losing it. I also brought an abundance of juice with me.

I brought a nauty mini (with 2 coils that I had hanging around), and 2 isub tanks (the originals - since they weren't glass I thought it would be a good idea given my running around and such) and 4 coils. I also brought my Kangside 25 for the nauty, an original kbox, and the mini Jedi. I also brought my AIO for traveling on the plane or if I had to run out quickly. I also brought 1 18350 batteries, and 4 18650 batteries and a 2 slot battery charger. I was afraid to travel on the airplane with lipo (internal) battery mods. Yes, my carry on luggage was hand inspected both coming and going.

When I get to the hotel, I immediately unpack my gear to find that one of my isubs cracked and the chimney broke. Down to one "sub-ohm" tank. I load up the nauty mini, and find that both coils are reading over 2 ohms, and I usually use the 1.6 or 1.8 coils. I fill the nauty up to find that the juice that I brought, I don't like or I don't like it in the nauty (still not sure). The first night I go out to dinner, and drop the AIO on the sidewalk and the bottom snaps off (now I have exposed wires, etc.) so I throw that away. Sigh, not a good day. I'm down to 2 devices/tanks, one with a juice I don't like and that I can't get to vape in my desired way. I did dump the juice in the nauty, and replace it with the juice that I was using in the AIO, that was better.

The next day on a break, I actually got a local to take me to a brick and mortar shop in the area. I buy a new isub V, and the price was actually comparable to online prices. I was pleased. Now I have 2 subohm tanks again, and one mtl device (even though I'm not thrilled with the juice. Then the Jedi decides that it likes to automatically shut off, or fail to turn on. I could get it to turn on if I used the battery adjustment screw, but for some reason it kept going out of adjustment and I had to keep playing with the screw to make it work. I did that (which was probably stupid and unsafe) for 5 days.

At the airport, while vaping in the smoking section I finally decided to chuck the Jedi in the trash before I went home.

Moral of the story. Bring at least one extra tank, and one extra mod when traveling. Don't travel with juice that you are unfamiliar with on the device that you plan to use it on. Traveling is hard enough, but to do so without a comfortable vape, or something that is comfortable for your vaping style, makes the time away from home more frustrating than it needs to be.

First world problem, I know. But it made for an extremely cranky mom.

No need for sympathy, just a word of warning for those that might be traveling this summer.

Sigh.

There is absolutely nothing "Semi" about my dubious, VT, but the venerable Ms. Darling is beyond reproach.

A fine & upstanding citizen, she.

Me, welp, not so much.

Sympathy to ya!

I have been laughed at over how much vape stuff I have carried when traveling.

Ordered a Target Mini from VapeNW. $26.82 shipped.

Seriously, I'm done buying vape gear. No, really. I am. Stop laughing.

Nice, I kinda want one of those too. I wish I could find one for that price, 42 bucks at Fasttech for just the mod is a little much imo.

But, uhm.......TP...?
