Heh, so the Curve is the same price as a Vaporflask dna 40 (or 50w) clone, but only uses one 18650 in a package that looks nearly the same size as the VF too.

As for passthrough, it's good in a pinch, but I like the flexibility and outright simplicity of just throwing in a fresh 18650 and going on about my business without a wire attached.

USB 18650 cradle chargers are cheap, I have one in the car and at work and at home.

Good 18650 batteries are cheap.

Running out of charge and hitting the nearest convenience store for a pack of Camels? Costly.

The iSticks can last for days. So, if you are not near an outlet for days at a time. Good for you!

With the way I vape and what I use for toppers these days, an iStick 30w lasts me about two hours, if that. Tootle puffing a little CE4 clearo at 7w, I suppose it could last for days, but that's so 2012.

I keep forgetting, you're not cool unless your cloud chasing! Anyways for the rest of us in 2012. With a mini Erlkonigin clone twisted 1.7ohm coil. We can go for days without charging. I can also still cloud up a room, and get fantastic flavor! I can get a whole day of vaping with the iStick mini and the same topper.

It's not about cloud chasing, but rather more about how many mls you vape a day! Being cool is the last thing on my mind (especially given my age....LOL).

This. On a slow day I vape 10ml, most days 20ml or more. Could give a good flying .... through a rolling smoke donut about clouds, I vape mostly in private, but I do like high airflow, and high volume on the inhale for a good lung hit, and good flavor.

Flavor I can't get from a Kayfun, Lemo, etc. Volume I can't get from them either. So yeah, vaping like it's 2012 is dead to me. Because vaping like that had me still reaching for a Camel too.

Time to settle down, folks.

We all have our own vaping styles and preferences, or we'd all be using the same gear, vaping the same flavor and so on.

Some like the convenience of the big mAh disposables, some like the convenience of having a spare battery (protected against shorts) in their pocket. Some like big clouds, some like big flavor, some like both.

This thread was intended to be a collation of all the "small" mods, and Kat's done a great job with the spreadsheet - so whatever our personal prefs, we can look there and make our own informed choices. Not to dis each other on those choices... :2c:

Agreed. M50 looked good on paper until I tried one in a B&M store, those 4 screws aren't the easiest to operate....

I agree. The Smok XPro M50/65 initially got my attention, but those four allen key screws ruin it entirely for me. I'm not worried about the longevity of LiPo batteries, I just don't love USB-charging in general. I already have a stable of LG HE2s and Samsung 25Rs and four good dedicated multi-bay chargers. I prefer the one-minute 18650 swap way more than a 2-hour USB charge. Unfortunately, the battery door of the M50/65 kills the convenience factor for me. It's not just the extra two minutes of removing and reattaching the door, it's the hassle of those allen key screws. On top of that, SmokTech seems to have designed the XPro to be USB-charged, since they caution users against swapping out the battery too often. In that case, I'd prefer a high-capacity non-removeable Li-Po.

You must diy! Please don't tempt me by telling me what your setup is! I already go through 6-8 ml a day on my retro rebuilt Protank coils. and mini- Nautilus.

-please tell me what your setup is

UPDATE!

You think so? I think the Isticks are great, but if I go out for a whole day what happens when I run the battery down? I need a replaceable battery so I'm not left with a dead mod and nothing to vape! It's easy to carry spare batteries:D

Or you could be like someone I know (know REALLY well) <cough>, and carry 5 devices at all times. Yep, that's overkill for most people, but even 2 'Sticks are small enuf don't we know....

I would also like to see the bottom of the device. I'm getting the feeling that Lost Vape did with the Curve what SMOK did with the XPro M50; inconvenient 18650 swap.

Funny that angle is the ONLY missing pic, alden. Hmmmm.... ;)

Believe it or not, Croak, even tho most have prolly moved up in respect to the CE4, there are still many of us who prefer vaping at low watts, don't need to inhale 10 to 20ml a puff to get flavor, are fine with vapor volume, do get the requisite TH, and are actually VERY much 2015. And have no desire to reach for a cig.

I only wonder what vaping will be like in a couple/few years and if people will say that vaping like its' 2015 is dead to them.

Thank you for saying what I was thinking, Mr. Ock. I hope we are all proud of our own choices. And proud of other people's choices as well. There is no need to separate ourselves. We DO need our commonality ... now more than ever.

He's baaaaaaaack!

Yep, and would you please tell him that next time he doesn't really have to bang on that bell??? Oh-the-headache.

David you're right. I love to play with all the gear, even will get a odd older piece sometimes just to try and add to my collection. Each have different strengths and weaknesses. And remember Vape On however it is you like to vape on! :vapor:
