And it's not even difficult for them to come up with viable options. Never complicate the simple (Occam's Razor).
Yes the Asolo steps down. Vid is worth a look. I thought the Phil's video was fair - there was a lot of 'it works like it's supposed to' but as is usual, he nitpicks some points - the name has been abused
... and I think the reddit comments (where Phil got it) and a suggestion from me to heaven gifts > Ijoy was responsible for the 'solo' tag.The 'taste control' vs. temp control is exaggerated, imo. Again - it does the same measurement of change in ohms except it reads at a more micro level than other TC chips. The 'word' on kanthal and other metals is that they didn't change enough to get good readings - ijoy changed that.

For me - palm grip/left hand - I'd have to rotate it a bit (1 "hour") clockwise from my regular grip on the Defender and kbox mini. Again, the curved end is helpful, say, vs. the vtc mini where the edges wouldn't be as comfortable if there's that same slant where the button is. But I agree with DPLongo re: Occam's razor - keep it simple.
That said, with a different hold - fingers and thumb type - a vtc mini may be better for some, with the flat surfaces giving a better base. But I like the palm hold - it's comfortable and a bit stealthy.

PAUL!!!!!!!!! Me as well! Although I'm predominantly right-handed, it's a leftover vestige of habits from my smoking daze. I smoked with the right, and learned to mouse with the left. I vape with either hand, but now, I can no longer mouse with the right!

IDK. That looks awkward. I'd be tempted to grab it with the thinner side towards my palm and that wouldn't work very well. It sounds pricey with wismec"s and sigelei's and others selling about $40.I see the Temp Control forum has this but haven't seen it here.

I'm not sure who else has kanthal TC - if the ones you mention do, then yeah. If TC isn't a factor, there are a lot more affordable and 'regular' mods. Since I have the big brother, I may pass on this one. I'm looking to get a few more kbox minis. Perhaps Black Friday or Cyber Monday... :- )

That's net shipping weight at HG - we had similar 'estimates' on other mods here.
Product wt - Looks like 180g at gearbest. vtc mini is 200g. Clawpurr mini plus - 124g. D2 -138g. Kbox mini - 114g - another reason I like it

180 is manageable for me, but close to the top end where portable mods are concerned. That's the Xvo with an 18650 inside. Much heavier and it would get displaced in favor of the Billet Boxes, but at 180 it is what usually travels with me.
