Here's a side by side. With the gap and with the black washer. I don't think the black washer is all that noticeable in normal light but the gap sure is. I know others will agree that GAPS suck. :D

Understood. And some of the 1 stars are true as well - just most of the useable information is in between. I'll admit - some of the 5 stars are 'consumer report' type material once you buy. The 1 stars are usually 'don't waste your money' or 'this sucks' :- )

And there are many who's problems involved head-space.

Post of my day, Turtlesque One.

Thanks for getting back to me!

I guess that's it then. Assuming you ordered from out of state, I'm full of it! I still swear I saw it on a vendor site and that I read the complaints on ECF. Maybe it got repealed or something? Either that or I may need one of those special white coats.

Sorry for the misinformation folks.

Welp, shalst I be the 97th one to come in here and say it's Arkansas?

Yeah/no. I won't. ;)

I got my beautiful blue Defender 2 today and slapped on a Kanger Subtank Mini with blue o-rings and a blue drip tip and thought I'd died and gone to heaven until I noticed a GAP between the mod and the tank. I hate that! A GAP! :-x I love this little mod and it's so beautiful but that GAP!

Does anybody have a suggestion to eliminate that GAP without stripping the threads. HELP!

OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have a case of the dreaded GAPOSIS!

You might not like my fix....

Might check your local hardware store for a 5/16" fender washer. The hole is bigger than the 510, and a fender washer has a bigger outer diameter than a regular washer. Might even be able to go with 3/8, but I've not checked to see which is closer to the diameter of your topper. And while it might take some looking, you can probably find then in stainless and brass...

Kidney Puncher has mod protectors in 22mm and 30mm for a couple of dollars

KP Mod Guard - 5 Pack

Meanwhile my new STM from parts works well. 1.95 + 5.95 + 1.95 and a $3 coil beats 24+ for a new STM for around the house.

Nice! STM parts from Fastech?

If you have an old Bicycle Inner Tube laying around, the rubber makes for Good Shim material to fill the Gap.

And a Standard Paper Hole Punch makes a Nice 510 Hole.
