Uh oh. I was just looking at it and noticed the leather sleeve for it doesn't have any opening on the side for venting. Hmm. Should I get a wrap instead? Or, cut a hole(s) for venting?

You should be fine. The sleeve probably doesn't fit so tightly as to prevent escaping gases. Though you could use an awl (or ice pick) to poke 4-6 holes in the appropriate location.

I run steam engine on everything to be on the safe side.

Since I went from 2ohm 8watts to ~1.2 at 18watts these AW 3000s don't last as long as I hoped. We'll see if the 30Qs are any better. Some of my older 18650s are starting to fade so I needed some (4) new ones anyway. Our resident ghost hid one for a couple of weeks but it was found today.

Oooh, let's hear more about this ghost...

Would it be a ferret stashing away your batteries? That "stash" instinct is a familiar tune these days!
