I just ordered this little itty bitty mod - way under $100. Kind of in the Vamo-box line - same maker - KSD/Kangside. Something about it I really like!

I too am awaiting your review! The only hesitation is how clunky it looks like it would feel.

A truly marvelous "write". I absolutely loved it, and appreciate the timing & presentation a LOT.

There's nothing quite like a good story, woven to perfection. :toast:

Those are some GENEROUS words, Mr. Longo.... and I'm eating em wif relish.. ;)

You're probably right. But, the Lux Box looks like it has better access to the bottom of your topper to help avoid a tank accidentally unscrewing without the bottom attached.

I only had that issue once, and it was mainly because I wasn't paying attention. I was able to get at the base fairly easily (just for informational purposes).

Good observation... Maybe @DPLongo22 can fill us in on the xVo. Have any problems getting attys on and off in one piece?

Great minds and all that jazz... Thanks!

LOL!!!! Yeah....

On the point, I notice that some (rare few) Nautilus bases can be problematic, but you'll know them when you feel them. They're not all exactly the same, and the problem ones have a bit of a "hitch" when screwing in or out. Believe it or not, I'm actually using one of those daily. It's the one that stuck the first time, but now I know to watch the base when turning it.

The two other (Nauti) tanks I used in them are flawless. All others too (which are just Kabuki & Cerotanks).

I probably should swap the base on that one "hitchy" one, but it's been four months now, so.... (y'all do realize that my very next post will be to report an "Ooops!", don't you?).

Oh, shoot. I guess I should have also said that the trick with those hitchy ones is simply applying a bit of downward pressure when turning them (in either direction). When done like that, it hasn't stuck/unscrewed once. Nothing crazy, just a bit...

She might take all blame... except MINE.

That might be too big of a responsibility for anyone, even her. My "damages" know no boundaries. ;)

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

Lol.. Provari's. I wrote this almost a year ago, and it sits on my desk as I type, fully in the rotation... LOOKS like all hellz, but, just will NOT perish, no matter HOW hard I try..

This darn Provari just WILL NOT DIE!

Luv'd yer thread, ElBow! Why'dya close it without even telling me about it? That was fun! I was busy prepping troll food, then BAM, it was the end of the thread.

Not DPL, but I have had the rare and glamorous opportunity to not only have a tank stuck in the XVO Schtick (pair o' pliers, and good to go), but also the fortune of the smiling fingers of fate graced me with a tank bottom that stuck ..... while the top of it came out! Ummmm. Clean up, Aisle Lap.

I only unscrew the tanks from the upside down position now. D'uh. Slow learner, but I get there eventually.

It's MY weekend????? WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO! Again? So soon? YIPPEE!!!! Bring on da BLAME!!!!!!
