The price of a $30 Provari:

P 2.5 $29.95
18650 extension $12.95
flat top conversion $25.00
one 18650 button $8.95
two 18490 button $22.00
Shipping $7.95

Total $106.80

Exactly why I won't go there. It sounds like an awesome deal for $30. I won't get out the door for $30 though...

I was THIS CLOSE to buying a VF Lite or Stout
but with unpredicted movement in the vapin’ powers to be,
I had to tap-the-brakes and re think the strategy…
with this purchase, it confirms my commitment to being a Tootle-Puf`er

I guess… :w00t:
- - - - -
$59.90 - (2) 2.5 ZenKote gold (18650 cap included)
$19.90 – (2) SS flat top rings
$79.80 – sub total
$7.95 – shipping
$87.75 – total

works out to $43.88 ea. @ P 2.5

$6.50 - LG HE4 18650 2500mAh 20A Button Top Battery (yellow)

Yes, yes, I'm a Provari owner now, nothing but the best for my little princes.

Do I have to order a special mod rest pillow, perhaps a mole hair coozy so it doesn't get scratched in my pocket. (sigh)

:)
I have the pillows ready to go...and will make a custom-fit "coozy" (which I call COZY...or to be precise "sleeve") when my 2.5 gets here. Which, according to my tracking is TODAY! I am going to charge up a couple of my still good IMR batteries. Haul out the Nitecore charger I got back in my heyday of mechs, VVs, and squonkers (circa 2013...before I succumbed to built in battery mods). Lord, I hope some of my old batteries have some life in them! I will try to order new batteries soon, though. Probably today. But I do want to try out the "new baby"!

I did. Well, $30 and shipping. I did have to grab some 18350s as I had none with buttons, but I got those from IMR. I already have a smaller RTA to put on it (MicroMini Genesis), so the sloped cap was perfect.

I don't know. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I passed on the flat top converter. All I got was the full size 2.5 and an extension ring..so I escaped at around $45. I am not OCD about my tanks fitting perfectly on top of my mod. Maybe I'll go back at some point and get one of those flat top converter things...or not. I certainly wasn't going to spring for buttons! Are they REALLY needed???

EDIT...oh..that meant "button top" batteries. DOH! I have some adequate batteries enough to check and be sure the new Provari will work properly. New batteries can wait a bit.

My Erlk would vape extremely well on the P2.5 and look good to boot. I don't own any button-tops. For me, buying a ProVari is buying into the brand/system. I've been considering a Kabuki. So, P2.5, P3 flat top, batteries, etc $250. Not sure I'm ready to commit that much cash for what this is. I may get a clone Kabuki first to see if I like it before I commit to the BEAUTIFUL Ti Kabuki ($150).

My VTC Mini is the nicest piece of kit I own. I rotate my Erlk (clone), STMini and LEMO2. In almost 2 years of vaping, I'm about $700, all in, INCLUDING all vliquid/DIY supplies. If the "deeming" turns out to be very oppressive, I think I want a few nicer pieces that I can be a bit more confident of lasting me. TBH, if it weren't for deeming regs, I don't think I'd currently be shopping. I'm pretty happy/satisfied where I am right now. Fear is causing me to panic-plan/shop. I don't like that at all.

So, I really need to stop ordering from these sales. I just got a package that I don't remember ordering. A new defender, a defender mini, some wraps for the istick 50, and a new colored tank/drip tip for my goblin mini. Hmmm. It's like an unexpected birthday present.

Of course the delay because of the Chinese New Year probably had a little something to do with forgetting.

I think your forgetfulness was a result of the sin trip you took to Vegas!

At this point in the game, I would strongly recommend a mech. IF the deeming regs go through, AND you fry a chip, your mech will keep you vaping.

Have two mechs that mostly sit collecting dust. Have four RDAs that all have pretty builds in them. One gets used for tasting DIY vliquid. Have 15W kick for the brass Nemi clone. I simply hate tube mods. I have no issues, should it be necessary, to grab some Hammond boxes, 510, silicone wire, mosfets (or OKR/OKT/Raptor), etc. I have a miller's press and x/y vise. I can make a serviceable regulated mod, huge as it may be.

Vaping needs to be as close to the convenience of smoking analogs. Jumping through hoops will not get/keep smokers away from cigarettes.

I'm just in a rotten mood today. Time for a walk...

I think that was suppose to come to me.

Speaking of istick 50's. I have 2 and really love them but one just started auto-firing after having it for several months. I set it aside for about a week but didn't have a mod for my dripper so I put the dripper on the istick 50 and it auto-fired when I screwed it on. In the trash it went. I hope you have better luck with yours.
