I didn't see where it mentioned stainless. That's something I would feel more comfortable using.

Stainless is listed as SS in the 'features' of most blurbs on the mod. And the toptank comes with Ni, Clapton (and Jimmy Paige, SRV :- ) coils, nichrome, no Ti.

edit: thanks Puf... I was replying without reading down. :- )

- Wire - Stainless Steel - Kidney Puncher
- Stainless Steel Wire 316L

a couple places ; KP is the only one I know that carries the thinner (30g) that I like...

:|

I don't want to make this a coil building site and disrupt the force at the little iddy biddy thread, but with no experience in ss wire, I need a little guidance. If I like working with 26g or 28g kanthal, will that translate to ss wire? Or am I missing something? A simple yes or no will suffice. If no, i'll work my way over to the appropriate thread and will not burden the people of the little iddy biddy thread. Thank you for you patience with the Pepper.:nun:

The Kbox mini is for my wife she likes small as possible mods. She still uses Kanger PT2's . I rebuild the coils for her at $ .03 each. I have looked for other tanks but not found anything that she likes. She wants to stay at 18 MM like the PT2. It seems the manufacturers only want to make sub ohm thanks for the cloud chasers. What's a tootle puffer to do but keep the tried and true PT2's since there is very few 18 MM tanks...........

She might like the Cero. A lot of us are having very good luck with it.

Yes. If you're happy with your Kanthal builds, use the same coil geometry in SS. Heat flux is almost identical and heat capacity is similar.

I have seen that but it's about the same as a PT2. I can rebuild the coils very cheep on the PT2's. I have considered the GG Penelope but it very expensive . The Penelope is coming out with a springomiser.

I just want something to have while I'm in florida for 2 months. I'll be going out a lot and the sx mini is heavy and I want something I can afford to lose... in case Pepper partakes in too many adult beverages.:?: Thanks, it looks like it can do the job and I won't feel too bad if I "misplace" it.:)

I have a number of itty-bitty Mods (from this thread) for use at home.

[My favorite, hands down, is the Wismec Presa TC40W.]

BUT...for out and about...I only carry a (or 2) VV V3.

Small, lightweight, fits in my cut-off pool noodle in my car's cup-holder...and at $14.95 I can "afford to lose" it...

ty, gerri. I appreciate you taking the time to give me some suggestions. I think I'm going with the kanger top box 75w. It can handle the set-up I have in my tanks that I use in my sx mini, plus it gives me the option of using ti, ss, or kanthal... I don't do nickel. Kent linked me to a vendor that is selling it for under $35; one of the few vendors that sells it without the tank. Have a great day.:)

My nephew wants a tank with replaceable coils and I have heard you and a few other talking about the Cero, I think I am going to get one for him. Do you have a preference in coils?

It takes either Aspire BVC (not the nautilus) or Kanger Protank coils. I recommend the BVC highly.

Got my Blue Provari Mini today, I got a question for those that own one. @Katdarling @DPLongo22 to name a couple :D

When checking the battery voltage or ohms, it fires while it is displayed, several seconds (about 4), nothing else I have fires when checking these values, is this normal for a Provari?

Does it when I go to menu
C6 on screen, then displays 3.9 (battery has not been charged in a long time, it is a button top Efest IMR 18350)
Ao on screen, then displays 2.5
And I can hear the atty sizzle while it is displaying the 3.9 and the 2.5, this just does not seem right because I have never had a device fire when checking the voltage or ohms.

Thanks for the input.
