Hmmm.... Thanks for pointing that out @pufZeppelin
Don't expect that would be much of an issue with the 12w - 15w builds that I prefer but I guess there's always a chance...

yepper, I not a " doom-n-gloom " type -

but there are just SO MANY other choices... (why bother)

:)

Borderline "MUST..."

A definite maybe, the size is not listed at Innokin`s website but the Coolfire 4 is 86 mm tall.
That is borderline too tall for me. But likely a solid mod.
The Pico is tempting me... but eleaf eeek. I need to hold one.

It's a hair taller than the CF4 (and no external charge port, if that matters). Definitely not tiny, but I'm SO pleased with the CF4 and the TC100 that the replaceable battery makes it VERY tough for me to resist. We had actually identified them as "almost certain" the minute they made the announcement.

I really like Innokin stuff (and it's all because of POTUS Kat). I'm SO easy....

Definitely taller, same width as the pico. I will say that the pico is my favorite of the istick line (note I didn't have the 40w or 60w TC).

Here are some comparisons with the CF4

Side by side. I used the same size tank so you could see the true comparison.

Yes my opinion of Innokin they make quality product, eLeaf not so much. Perhaps they have upped their game.

Thanks pokemom, based on size and looks alone the Pico wins hands down. I am wading through the Pico thread and hope my local shop may have one to hold. A definite maybe.

It is one of those devices, like the ijust tube, and the tesla two, that has the safety features but an internal non-variable battery. It starts at 4.2 (or 3.7 I can't remember) and works its way down until the battery gets too low. So it is "regulated' but not adjustable. I love my tesla two for a no need to think device (I think of it as a mechanical box with safety), and I love SBS mods so I ordered one, it should be in next week.

How is it regulated? It sounds to me like it's unregulated. Every unregulated battery starts at 4.2v (fully charged, then stays at 3.7v for most of the cycle before cutting off somewhere ~3.3 or 3.2v. Those warning lights seem to be indicating battery voltage as the the charge gets depleted, no?
The knight fits that bill, but the knight is HEAVY. It is a bit larger than the coolfire, and as heavy as an MVP 3.0. There are other sbs modes that are better but WAY more expensive. But that is why I made the comparison.

I've always wanted a side-by-side, but never got one. All kinds of potential issues; the biggest ones for me: 1) I always unscrew my tanks from the mod while holding the very bottom of the tank as to avoid accidentally unscrewing the glass part from the base--impossible with side-by-sides and 2) I don't want the AFC valve of my tank facing the body of the mod--it might impede airflow and make AF adjustments on the mod impossible. So I gave up on them.

Just my :2c:

The Tesla stealth, is "unregulated" in the sense that you described, but the mod does go on and off (not just locked like a mechanical), it has short protection and low voltage protection (also unlike a mechanical). So, it is "safety" regulated, like I tried to describe earlier. Sorry if I was unclear.

As for side-by-sides, the knight and the tesla are open at the air flow area. You could actually unscrew from the bottom and lift the tank up. I know that the Knight has an adjustment ring on the 510 so if the airflow is blocked the 510 can be turned so that when screwed it the airflow can line up (the entire 510 piece turns). So not impossible anymore.

Just some options.

Yeah, can't decide between those two. I'll probably get one of each. :D
Top of my list.

:2c:

my thoughts are:
the CFIV does not compare to the VF Lite - IMO
  • small screen
  • small battery
  • small buttons
  • small battery
  • 40w max
  • no TEMP CONTROL
  • no upgrade-ability
  • no removeable battery
  • for ruffly same price

longevity, can't comment of that (yet)

the CFIV is a nice size, shape, handfeel...
I got a CFIV for a steal of a sale back around Christmas
or I would never have bought one...
my thought is, it was antiquated when it was released
I liked the TC40w better

OF COURSE this is all based on a book titled; IMHO

:)

eta: re-reading this thought I should add I like innokin "Q"
I like the VVv3 and the CFIV but BOTH suffer from
not enuff battery & to expensive... (I can do better)
