@KTMRider  You are so baaaaaaaad! :sneaky::laugh:

But I'm not not so tempted by the istick 60w anymore - just got my 3rd itty bitty mod, the Wismec Presa and I couldn't be happier! I love that it is narrower than the CFIV 18650 and the PICO... it feels sooooo comfortable to hold! I got it in black from SweetVapes for $28.95. I love it so much I hope to find a sweet deal on the silver too :D(SweetVapes didn't have it in Silver).

@pokemom - Hi, I got the CFIV 18650 about a week ago or so and can tell you it is a solid, hefty, well built little vape machine. At first it felt heavy to me, but the smooth finish and ergonomic design makes the weight more comfortable. In fact, IMO, I find it more comfy to hold than the PICO, which weighs less. I don't own a ROLO (yet!) so I've nothing to add there.

@DPLongo22 - Hiya, so sorry you experienced CSBS (customer service BS). I've had to play CS email tag and I hate when they send an email that basically says "You're it!." :grr: I hope they work something out for you :)

Itty Bitizens, how long does a replaceable coil last? I've used the Aspire Nautilus X coil exclusively since I got it about a week ago, and today I noticed the draw was a bit tighter, and the flavor was kinda bleh!

Which reminds me, I must become a true blister packer and order coils! [emoji23] At about double the price of the cartos I used to use, I am quickly understanding the need to learn how to make coil refills. Suggestions for a beginner rebuildable tank would be greatly appreciated - Thanks in advance!
Beginner rebuildable tank? Lemo, Lemo II, Kayfun 3.1 or Light Plus. I started on a Subtank Mini RBA...

Still waiting on the Picos, so here's a pic of my styled Black Oaks and Gizmos, lined up in front of my Provis for comparison. [Edit: I'm legal for VV/VW because all the mini mechs are sporting control heads... :)]

Hi ColoKaren - Nice group! Is that a lazy susan? What a cool idea. With 3 new itty bitty mods on my side table, it's getting a bit crowded and I'm in dire need of a vape caddy or something - in the meantime, the box from the Presa is recycled as my first itty bitty locker!:laugh::laugh:

I STILL save some boxes, just because of my experiences so many moons ago. I kid you not.

Love love love my roundabouts (lazy susans) for storage. It's the one thing that actually has worked SO well for me!

Forgive my ignorance, but who's reviews are we talking about?

(see, Monsieur Tortoise ..... was that so difficult?) ;)

I'll bet all of the noir et noir ones work just fine. It's just those funny looking striped animals that have a 25% "misfire requiring videos" failure rate.

:grr: Meanie.

Oh, there are many and a multitude of mods I don't own YET. Having to sit a little still, right now, as this Summer is going slower than anticipated. Hovering at 88 mods and 162 atomizers...

Sigh...

Tol ja! ;)

Tol ja! ;)

The best advice I could give for anyone looking to get into building their own coils is to watch lots of YouTube Vids. There's a bazillion of them out there. That is the best way to learn besides doing it yourself.

My same advice, from the get go. Watch, learn, do, learn, watch.

That's cute.

I use 2 of these:

OMG T, you were soooooooooooooooo right! I love it love it LOVE it! :thumb: I've seen some YT videos already... guess I better start shopping for necessary items like the RTA, cotton, wire, probably some tool to deal with the wire...:)

I started with Blucigs and Johnson Creek. $3 per cart sucked. Sucked more when 3 of 4 were duds and that was the point I decided to get a rebuildable. There's an investment of wire and wick material (I got organic and rayon) but I haven't bought any wick material in 2 yrs. I got an EH Pro KFL+ from a local vape shop and paid way more than I should've but it was worth it and got me hooked on RBA's.

Hard to recommend a RBA. If you like a looser draw, the new KF5 is pretty good. Easy to fill and great vape.

Great how those duds got you on the right foot! I need something simple because I've been kicking and screaming like a toddler cuz I didn't want to fiddle with wicks & wires -- now I wish I hadn't been sooooooooo resistant or I could have gotten over this hump like two years ago at least!:lol: I will learn more about the KF5 to see if it might be simple enough for a resister to change like me! I don't mind an airy draw if I get the throat hit & warmth I like.:)

Coil life depends on a couple of things. The wattage/volts that you push and the type of eliquid that you are using. I find that custards, and fruit/cream liquids burn through coils, as do tobaccos. Straight fruits seem to run cleaner and coils last longer. If the liquid that you are using has a lot of sweetener in it, that will gunk up coils too.

On certain coils I can get a couple of weeks, others not even a week (depending on the liquid).

I have no experience with the new nautilus X coils, sorry.

I use nearly all VG Salem eliquid. It's my all day vape. Hmmm, I hope this coil will last till my blisterpack arrives!:)

Have you hit vapecrawler.net? Saw the silver Presa at Vapenw, a tad higher at MVS.

Uhhh, about that long. ;)

Actually, lots of variables, so hard to be specific.

I can't recommend the Lemo 2 or KFL+. The Lemo 2 has a flaky 510 center pin issue and the KFL+ bottom filling sucks, especially after using the newer Kayfuns.

The Kayfun v4 is discontinued and overly complicated. Vapes great but might be too complicated for a beginner. There are a lot of great youtube videos though.

The Kayfun Mini v3 is a small atomizer that might work well for the micro mods (I have one on my Mini Volt). The build deck is small and could be difficult to work on. I don't have an issue with it but I've been building for a while. The capacity is also 2ml so that might be an issue for some.

The Kayfun 5 is the newest. The build deck is easier to work on and vapes great. It might be a bit airy for some MTL vapers. It holds 5ml with the steel tank and 4ml with the glass tank.

Both KM3 and KF5 are top fill (so's the KF4). That alone makes it a better choice than the KFL+.

I've been using only the clones but the KM3 and KF5 are not hard to duplicate and they work well. I've had no issues with any of them. I currently have 6 KF5 and 4 KM3 in rotation.

I like your makeshift mod box! Mine is... uh... the top of my cat's scratch box. LOL!

The turn-table is a GREAT idea. I've been using a blah plastic box as my vape box, and also want a decent organizer and display for my babies. Anyone? Ferris? ANYONE?!

Yep, the bottom fill screw sucks unless you live dangerously and fill from the top :p

I have never had an issue with my Lemo 2. I did have the occasional issue with my Lemo 1, but a quick cleaning solved the issue. I love the fill method on the 2...

The only reason I mentioned the older Kayfuns was due to MTL vaping... something the KF5 discarded. I didn't mention the 4 because of its complexity.

Goodnight D. It's good to see your resistance to learning to coil & wick easing. When you've learned how to do it you're going to wonder why you were resistant. :)

I'm old. If I can learn to roll mesh and wrap coils, anyone can. It often takes a small pile of misshapen wire when I build, but a good build lasts for months. I have a couple builds from last Christmas still going strong with occasional dry burn to clean off the gunk.

I started on z-atties, and tried a Chalice III. 2+ years later I'm devoted to gennies, and have Nahualons, Krakens, and Sat22s in addition to those old fangled ZAPs. I love building... :)

LOVE building. I never have a coil last more than a couple weeks because I get bored and put a new one in.

I, too, have a love of Gennies... I-Atty, lots of UD AGAs, a BF99, a Nectar, a Kraken, a Sat22, a Steam Turbine, a Micro Mini, a Mini DID, and others...

Good glob. I had only 3 Provis with ZAPS for 2 years, and thought that was just enough until the dooming. I've spent an obscene amount of money building up my stash--nic, cheap P2.5s, mini mechs, control heads, and 20+ gennies. My confidence in my stash just evaporated looking at your collection. Excuse me while I freeeeeeeeeeeak out.

Do you have ties to Colorado? I'm in Colorado Springs.
I was raised in Craig/Hayden/Milner area. Served 4 years at Ft. Carson. Got my start as an independent craftsperson at the Colorado Renaissance Festival. Had a farm in the La Junta/Rocky Ford area. Mom still lives in Craig. Sister lives in Delta. Brothers-in-law live in Colorado Springs/Black Forest.

A few ties :)

Don't freak... I'm a bit obsessive... when I started spinning, at one point, I owned 17 spinning wheels... lol...

When I was in tech, I had 27 computers...

Now, it's mods and atomizers...

Well how cool is that?! My youngest was posted at Carson, and spent a year in Trashcanistan. My folks and a sister are on the Western Slope, and three cousins live in Denver and Boulder. My oldest is in Denver. Colorado is all kinds of home for my family... :)
