Well, guess what, I want to purchase all that is needed at the same time even if they are different orders. I need your guidance on what to buy in terms of the wick and wire needed. Thanks in advance for your recommendations

Hey D, I suspect you've been using Kanthal or Nichrome in your attys for a while now and I'll bet it's 32ga Kanthal. I'm just guessing here. 30ga is a little thicker than 32 and easier to work with but will require more wraps to get to your preferred ohms. 28ga is even thicker and easier to work with but again will require even more wraps. 26ga even thicker etc...and you might notice a slower ramp time, meaning it will take a little longer for the coil to heat up. I use 2 twisted 28ga kanthal and there is a slight ramp up time. Usually the first 2 vapes have little flavor and vapor but by the 3rd vape it's great and that applies to if you set the mod down for awhile and come back to it. Once the coil gets warm then you won't notice the ramp up time. You probably wouldn't anyway with a single wire coil. Just a little education on wire. :D

Wick...Koh Gen Do Japanese Organic cotton found at Amazon or Sephora for around $12 for 60 pads, ebay probably has it cheaper. For Rayon, DavidOck said it best. In my experience rayon wicks faster but cotton holds more juice. Cotton taste funny for the first couple of vapes and then it's great. Rayon tastes great 1st vape. Both have a learning curve...how much or how little to use. You'll figure it out. There's your education on wicks. :D

To make coil making easy, I would recommend a set of these http://www.coil-master.net/product/coil-master-coiling-kit-v4 You cold just use screwdrivers or drill bits but then you wouldn't know the inside diameter of your coil and this is important because some attys might work best at 2.5 ID and some at 3.0. There's a little info about building coils. :D Good luck and you know we are here to answer any questions that you may have when you start building. ;)

Actually, I can deal with the ramp up time - just hold the fire button a sec before drawing. It's the continued sizzle after I release the button that drives me nuts. (Or, as my SO says, not a drive, just a short putt... ;) )

Yes, that works too but drives me just as nuts as the after sizzle and I've been told the same thing only "it's a short drive". :p

I have a white & black "VF-Lite" (& Stout) (like I said, Love them)
I got a VF-Lite based on puf's praise (and my eye). I've been using it for 6 weeks now, and it is my favorite box. So there is another up vote.

My three most used are the VF, my GunnyMetal ProVeryBerry, and my TMC-Roller. My new Noir et Noir Rolo is trying to muscle its way in, but it requires big muscles. My venerable VTC Mini is sitting on the sidelines. All of my other players have been relegated to the reserves list.

The House's new PicoSticky might have a chance, but my wife won't let me hold it for more than 15 seconds at a time so far. Not enough time to switch tanks on it, and I won't even push the button with her juice on there.

How do you like the feel of the VF Lite? Is it comfy to hold? That curve in it has me hesitant.

When the lite went on sale for $39 I jumped on it. I have to say it is my favorite mod right now. It is heavy (but not Smoant heavy), it just feels like a quality mod. It works great. The screen is a little dim, but I don't mind that. The battery door is lovely (no twisting the cap on). I think the curve actually makes it more comfortable than a straight box mod.

It is larger than the pico, and I like the pico, but this mod feels like it will last, I can't really say that about the pico (though I've had no problems with it).

Thanks pokemom. That helps. I know I want one but haven't decided which yet.

Now where is that slow poke turtle? ;)

I bought an iStick 20w when it first came out 2 yrs ago. It was a great tiny mod but the 510 threads failed after a couple of months. I put a VariTube 510 on a couple of them for some ECF members but by then I decided to get more reliable mods. I've stuck with Evolv mods (some I built, some bought) since but recently started looking for smaller mods since the Evolv mods are full sized. I figured the Pico would be a good choice as it has a spring loaded 510 with ss threads, TP, replaceable battery and won PB's micro shootout. I also got a great deal on the mods ($45 shipped for 2) so I can consider these disposable too

I like curves. All kinds of curves. They are comfy. Sometimes.

And, yup, yup to every bit of the description by Poke. :thumb:

Right over there.

No... over here.
