Just got my 2 Lavabox M DNA75 mods today. I opened one up and I'm very impressed. The color is called "Blood Red" and it's a metallic red finish similar to my truck (Red Candy Metallic). I can see why there's a lot of complaints about the screen. The cover is tinted so the display is a bit dark and it's a fingerprint magnet. Not a deal breaker for me but I hope it doesn't scratch easily. The 510 looks like a mini VT 510 and should be good. It's about the same size as a VaporShark rDNA and slightly larger than a VT75. The magnetic door is solid. I think it's a very good looking mod and feels great in my hand.
I popped in a Samsung 25R and plugged it into eScribe to update and customize it similar to my other DNA75's and it vapes great. It's hard to believe this is only $40 shipped. If I didn't already have 16+ DNA mods, I'd order a few more.
I gotta agree; the Lavabox M is a nice, nice mod. It's way smaller than I thought it would be. Just slightly bigger than an Evic VTC Mini, but weighs noticeably less. Outside surface is grippy enough for me to use without a sleeve, yet is not the least bit uncomfortable to hold. It has a deep 510 connector that has a spring-loaded pin with a good amount of throw. Still getting used to the way the mod settings work, but I think I'll get there eventually. It didn't seem to like my .9x ohm SS316L builds.
Like you, the one thing I do not like is the smoked covering on the display that is way too dark for me. I need to put on my glasses to read the smaller info on the display even in dark room - which makes it the worst mod screen I own. My older eyes need a brighter screen.
I like the metallic red color - but then I've always liked black with red highlight combos. When I was in college, I painted my 10-speed bike black with blood red "pinstripes" at the fancy joints. One of my roommates liked the combination so much that he later bought a black car with red pinstripe designs. Then someone stole his car from a parking lot while he was out on a date...
