While checking an atomizer, my new Provari is reading "LO" or "L0" after navigating to the "Ao" option. I can't seem to find anything in the manual about this - what does this message mean.

And before someone mentions that I probably just clicked the button too many times and skipped past the "Ao" option to the "Lo" option, that's not it  It only happens on one specific atomizer.

Also got home today and got an E4 error... Swapped batteries and it has gone away for now :( But now I'm paranoid!

Lo = LED off. BUT LO, i have no idea too. if it only happens on 1 atty, then prolly that atty has shorted or something is wrong with the atty. (but then again, shorted atty would display E1 so i know nuts!)
E4 – Input Voltage to DC/DC converter error - Contact ProVape (but b4 u contact them, remove ur batt and take a look inside. u should see a SHINY pin. thats where the batt should contact with the circuit board. if its black, u prolly have to get some isopropyl 99% alcohol and long cotton buds to clean the pin, wait for it to dry awhile b4 u put the batts in and try firing it up again. if its clean and whatsoever, contact provape) lol

When you check the atomizer ohm's and it shows Lo, that means that the atomizer is too low a resistance to read. At least at the current voltage. The Provari checks ohms under load, so if it says Lo, lower the voltage down and try it.

Oh yeah!!! i read somewhere abt that and forgotten. Thx for the reminder!

@vaptamist also on the E4 error, read this Troubleshooting Tips

Thanks Guys! I already feel a lot better now. Score another one for the ECF community :)

I dropped the voltage down to 3.3 and tested some of the atty's out again - I still get a "LO" on one of them, but now I'm getting an E1 error, so it's pretty clear the atty's shorted.

I am seeing ANOTHER weird thing with the "stock" atty I ordered with the Provari - now it's voltage likes to bounce around each time I check it - from 2.7, up to 3.4 next time, down to 3.1 the following time. I'm thinking it's just shorted in a different way - does that sound about right?

I need to order some more atomizer's with a higher resistance :(

Also note that if you have Po option turned to off, Ao will read Lo. In order to get a read on ohms, the unit has to be turned on.

This is really interesting. I tried this on both my provaris and they both read half of the actual resistance when the unit was powered off. One with a 1.6ohm read at 0.8ohm and the other with 2.7ohm read at 1.3ohm. Has anyone measured the voltage used when using the Cb or Ao options?

This is interesting, the other day mine was reading Lo with it turned off. Now it's reading .9 off and 2.4 turned on. I tried this on my other one and it's reading half the resistance turned off. Needless to say, it don't read resistance correctly with it turned off.

I wonder if the level of charge has anything to do with this reading Lo like it was? I'll check it out when my battery gets low and see what it does.

Lo is a reading meaning Low. It means the atomizer attached has a very LO resistance, and normally this means it is a bad atty..

Are the batteries getting charged all the way? Sometimes chargers dont properly charge the battery and it's not getting all the power that it needs to fully charge or the battery is very old and it's not holding its charge very well.

Vaptamist,

Try two things first on those Atty's,,, take them off the unit and make sure there not on any uint while doing the first, take a pair of tweezers and wiggle the bridge around a little bit, then try the Atty again. 2nd,,, make sure the bottom center pin is not pushed in to far and if it is take a needle or paper clip and pry outward from the center hole pin to bring the center pin back out just a smidgen.
