Hello everyone,
i think i need some help here, i was a smoker for 7 years then i decided i need to change that as my chest was bad and the smell use to cause problems with my wife i thought i will give e-cigarettes a try and i bought starter kit from e-lites i received a battery, usb and 7 regular 2.6 E-Tip, i liked it and one E-Tip used to just last one day, when i used to smoke i used to only smoke between 10 to 15 turner rollies a day but it said 1x E-Tip - the equivalent of approximately 40 'cigarettes which i don’t understand.
Anyway i went 2 days ago and bought Gamucci 1.6 from B&M £3.99 for 3 e-tips, good price but it test sweet which i don’t like and not as strong as e-lites.
I want to try the ones you fill yourself but i am really confused and don’t know where to start loads of brands and sites i need something not so expensive and normal tobacco taste not sweet and for the figure i put above how much you think it will cost me a day or a week.
I will be thankful for any help.
Thanks

Hello & welcome Free-remo :)

Sadly the e-lites are over priced, under perform & they completely exaggerate how many real cigs a "tip" is equivalent to :( & Gamucci aren't much better :( However, you should be able to refill their tips (cartomisers) with any e-liquid :)

The main thing you need to do is to move away from an e-cig that looks like a real cig. You will do so much better with either a Riva or ego kit. For instance -

The VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Also, check out these other good UK e-cig & e-liquid vendors -
http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/1148/cigarette-liquid-vendors-discount-codes

Edit to add - I used to smoke on average 50 cigarettes a day, so I'm a very heavy vaper & it costs me approximately £10.00 a week - so a massive saving :D

I started out with Blu.
You sound like me. You want to refill, but still want to keep things simple. I recommend the Vea from Johnson Creek Smoke.
They're juice is simply fantastic. The Vea is like the Swiss Army knife of Pvs. It's not perfect, but it sure is classy looking. For $60 shipped for a full kit. It's the best deal I can think of.

You could ask 100 different vapers the same question, and get 100 different setup recommendations.

I would recommend you get an eGo-C Twist battery, and an EVOD BCC (real , REAL simple to use), or if you really like cartos, then just get your standard BOGE blank cartos, and fill em yourself ;)

Free-remo, I know for a fact your e-lite won't be compatible with anything else, so you will need a charger & at leats one other battery - hence why I recommended you went for the Riva kit to begin with.

We have so many good UK e-cig suppliers, so it would be a bit daft & costly postage & import duty wise, if you bought from any of the US suppliers :)

You can buy the twist from here -

Joyetech eGo-C Twist VV £22.95 - Vaping Spares - Batteries & Passthroughs Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Plus the Boge cartomisers -

Boge 510 Standard Resistance (5) £5.99 - Vaping Spares - Cartomisers Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Does any one know how many ml in e-lites Cartridges? i am just trying to work out how long 30ml of E-Liquids will last, BTW anyone tried Gold & Silver 24mg or 18mg? does it taste ok?Thanks

I reckon an e-lite cartomiser holds about between 1 & 1 & a half ml. Most folks average getting through about 5ml a day of e-liquid - hence why there is no way that e-lite "tips" as they call them, are equivalent to 40 real cigs - more like 10 at best.

I need the taste not to be sweet, i just need basic tobacco flavour that taste abit like cigarette.

You are mainly not really going to find an all around great tobaccoish flavor that you are accustomed to, this is just from my experience.

Couple of suggestions, still sweetish, but also quite tobaccoish, "Dekang" or "Hangsen" RY4 is a good starter. Halo, don't know if it is available in the UK, but Freedom Juice, Torque, 555, or Captain Jack are a bit on the more bitter flavor, but still satisfying, but a bit on the high end price wise. RY4 has caramel and vanilla tones, but remember, straight tobacco from RYO and say Marb Reds, Camels, etc, in the curing process get soaked in chocolates, caramels, and vanillas to ferment more nic out of them. You don't really taste this undertone due to the way an analog burns. You'll be surprised as to why everyone tries to replicate a version of the original Dekang RY4 and it was so successful, never tried the original myself, but it sounded like the silver bullet for tobacco flavors ever made and offered, and a lot of OTC generic brands that offer pre-filled cartos use a variant of RY4 in their basic tobacco cartos. Someone has a review list of RY4s, can't find it atm, but the list does show from bitterist to sweetest.
