The new Smoke Free Air law doesn't mean smokers have to give up their nicotine buzz in restaurants Not a bad story.....That Carolyn Clifford is a Gem!

OMG! It's ok to smoke cigarettes but not vape, just don't smoke in public. Dumbazzs. I know, I know-this discussion is all over this forum. Just so frustrating.

The best part was their belief that second hand vapor is as bad as second hand smoke.....Utter nonsense!!

Patience, people, patience. This too shall pass. The arguments against ecigs is based on such legally weak evidence that I have great faith that this will not go the way of hemp laws. I realize that nearly perfect parallels can be drawn between the two issues but these are different times and there's the difference that the powers fighting ecigs sell a product with the same active ingredient. This will make it MUCH harder to justify a prohibition of this substance in a federal court and the components other than nicotine are so widely used by established industries that they are equally safe from legislation.
I'm incredibly cynical by nature but I can't see how this can go any way but our way. There's also the fact that our numbers are growing exponentially.
So, buck up, yalls!

The Michigan.gov e-cig fact sheet actually had this line in it in May:

"The FDA recently won a case in the U.S. Court of Appeals that bans the import of e-cigarettes."

Believe it or not I emailed them and they actually changed it.

I agree that we are not much farther along with that language change but there are folks at the MDCH that are willing to listen. I have the names if you'd like to send something their way.

J.......Thanks for the info! I will definatly make contact here in order to clear up a few of the mistruths. All we have ever really wanted is for someone to listen with an open mind.I'll let you know if I hear anything else on my end!

I was doing a search on the Michigan Health Department document and discovered that they were proud enough of it to upload it to Docstoc. So I kindly reviewed it for them.

Vocalek.....Awesome response!! And much appreciated! I think you hit every every mark head on! The positives far outweigh any negatives in regards to vaping....hopefully the MHD will start to see the light!

pm......I have certainly seen worse e-cig related stories on the news.I thought this was one of the better ones!
