Has anyone noticed if any of the local stores have any KR808D threaded items? The 2 I've been to so far had only 510 threaded inventory. I understand that 808 thread isn't as popular, but there are a few of us out there that started with it, and still use it. At this point, all of my equipment is 808 thread, and I'd prefer not to replace it all just to be able to buy locally.

I can find whatever I need online, but i do like doing business locally when i can. I wouldn't expect a full line of hardware or anything, because I realize it's not as widely used. But some cartos for tanks, or some clearos would be nice to be able to purchase locally.

just invest in an 808-510 adapter. that way you can use any of the local stores stuff without replacing your gear. imho you should just go ahead and replace it anyways so you have a much more universal device, giving you more options, but if your not willing to do that then an adapter is only like $5

I do have an adapter, and I use it when testing flavors at a local store. As I said, I can get everything I need online, so I really don't need to switch to 510 threaded batteries at this time. However, if any of the local stores happened to carry any KR808-D accessories, I would purchase from them instead of online. If not, that's ok too and I'll just keep doing what I'm doing.

At some point it's possible that I would make the switch to 510, and you are right that it would be more universal and would definitely be more convenient. But right now I am happy with the setup that I have.
