Quick Question: 510 Cartomizer Threads - Looking for a Nut

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knows the specs of standard 510 threads.

Visited my local True Value Hardware store and I was not able to find a nut that properly screws onto 510 Cartomizer threads.

Does anyone know what spec nut will?

I'll try looking for them online. I am delving into the world of DIY mods, and I would like to use a nut to firmly secure a 510 extension/connector to my box. I don't like the idea of gluing/pressing one in place quite as much. A nut would be simpler, and very secure I would think.

Do you know of anyplace that sells them?

Finding just the nut (or making one with the appropriate tap) is going to be a real pain. You can get the whole connector with nut for $7, Shorty 510 Extension and Connector

Or there is a guy on ebay, tehmobius, who has them 5/ $15.

Adding to asdaq information: you can just purchase a few usual 510 battery connectors and cut a needed nuts from them.

After quite a bit of looking, nothing. A surprising result really.
Who would have thought not one online shop carries this little nut.

Oh well, I'll check that Ebay vendor. Much more reasonable pricing than MadVapes.

Had you considered, and hear me out... Drill your hole in the box... put the 510 adapter through the hole... thread a regular 510 connector on the back like a nut... then you have something to solder to, and if you damage your exposed connector it's easily replaced...

Zen~ you know I was thinking of that as well. Simple, and cost effective. $2 for a nut is much better than $5!

Silver? That wouldnt' be cheap. Silver is a soft metal so you'd do better with the nickel plated brass they currently come in.

I said in the other thread the eBay guy was out of connectors, but for some reason the listing didn't show up when I looked up his items the other day, eBay having issues I guess. Here it is.
