This is kinda a special needs thing for me. I only have fine motor control in one hand. To lock my mod I need to put the mod in my "bad" hand and screw the locking ring with my "good" hand. It's kinda a pain, a lot of fidgeting, and waste of time.

What mods have simple locking mechanisms that might be easier for me? I can grasp somewhat with my "bad" hand so something that required a small twist might work.

Thanks bunches for any suggestions.

If you want to avoid a complicated lock all together the Maraxus (style not for everyone) is a recessed firing switch with no lock and similarly the Panzer is a recessed firing switch with a buttery smooth lock out you can do with one hand. I prefer recessed firing switches due to the fact that I can set them down and pick them up without needing to lock them all the time, just grab and go. I lock my Panzer only when it is in the cupholder with some change that might accidentally fire it.

The Orochi comes to mind. Or the Bellwether if you're going by the FT clone name. By the looks of it, you may be able to lock it with just one good hand :)

Check 4 minutes into this clip.

Not saying "run and buy now!". Just something to add to a hopefully longer list of candidates :)

That's the type of thing I'm looking for. I could easily manage that. Thanks. Will put that on my list.

I should have said I don't prefer recessed switches. Fingernails can get in the way when I grow them longer, and even on my good hand I don't have great finger strength. Thanks for the suggestions though. If I can find somebody with a Panzer I can try I might consider it. It looks great with the Atomic which is my fave.

I would recommend that you take a look at the Nanos by MMVapors, the same company that makes the Poldiac.

Nanos Single tube | mmvapors.com

The button/switch on the Nanos can just be flicked from lock to unlock and back with just one finger while holding the mod in your same hand. The button/switch only has to rotate 7mm to accomplish this task. I think it would fit your needs quite well.
This is a very short mod and I am enjoying the one I have quite a lot.
I have some loss of movement in my fingers and this mod is easy for me to use.

I concur with the Nanos, of all my mods this Nanos is by far the easiest one to lock, a small light flick with little or ring finger and it's locked or unlocked, there's also the poldiac with it's side fire button. I have never locked mine at all as it will sit down flat, nor have I ever had it fire in my pocket, I carry one at work in my front pocket and carry supplies and or tool bag and have never had it fire. plus as Portertown stated it is one of the smallest mods at around 83 MM in 18650 mode without atty attached. price isn't all bad either, I have paid a lot more for mods that sit on my desk and don't get used much, the new Nanos is a winner.

I really like the Cronus clone! The lock switch is so easy to do with one hand and it's like 40 bucks on eciggity right now. Hits hard as hell too, EHPro has some pretty nice quality clones out. Hope I helped, lex.

Edit: also the switch is very light so finger strength shouldn't deter use. But it also will not fire under load either. At least not with the kayfun lite+ on top, but that's a pretty hefty atomizer.

Okay, I ordered the Cronus clone. (Hey, money to buy other things!) I don't love the looks of it, to be honest, but I really wanted something easier/quicker to lock than a spinning locking ring.

I looked at the video of the Nanos locking mechanism and decided that it just looks too easy. I'd be worried about it accidentally getting unlocked. It's a lot of money to spend without being able to test it in person first.

Another would be an Atmizoo. These have a side-fire button at the top of the mod. All you do is twist the button 90 degrees in either direction to lock.

This.

The Roller by Atmizoo is crazy easy to lock with one hand and can accommodate 18350-18650 because it's a telescoping MOD. It's also very sleek and hits incredibly well.

So lexic, what's the verdict?

I'm still not a fan of the looks, but it looks okay with my Atomic which is what I currently use most.

I'm slightly concerned with the lack of vent holes. It's not air tight, but there is only a small bit of air that can get out through the switch. I haven't decided, but I might have someone drill holes in the larger tube for vents.

The locking mechanism is great! I did flip the locking ring around to spin the opposite direction. I'm a leftie and it's easier for me that way.

The switch is great too. Really smooth.
