Hi Fellow Vapers,
Well I just had something really weird happen, it scared the hell out of me so I need answers.
I had just put a freshly charged set of VTC4's into the mod (Xcube2). It was late at night and I was watching TV, anyways I had a couple of puffs, then I guess I must have fell asleep sitting upright on the couch, with the mod in my hand, not unusual. Next thing I awoke to Lava hot boiling e-liquid spilling out of my TFV4 down the side of my hand, OWW! But the weird thing is, the mod was LOCKED!
I freaked out and nearly soiled myself, jumped up and threw the mod on the ground thinking the batteries where venting or something. So, with my heart pounding, I watched it for a minute to make sure it wasn't gonna catch fire or explode, whilst putting my burnt hand in water. Anyways I went and picked it up after a couple minutes, it was still very hot and it had boiled 3/4 of a tank of e-liquid dry, which the liquid was all over the sides of the mod, and my lap. Took off the back cover, noticed the batteries were fine, not venting, no shorts. Went to fire it too see what happened and LOCKED!!!! This had all occurred whilst the mod was locked, so honestly now I am scared of this mod, not sure I trust it. Also I only had it set to 35 watts, so even at that wattage I wouldn't think it would boil a tank dry like that, and also why didn't the cutoff safety feature kick in? I cant explain it, I am a care full vaper, and know what I'm doing with batteries and ohms and such. So nothing like this has happened before, and now I'm not sure I trust this mod anymore.
Has anyone had a similar experience, or know why this would have happened? Look forward to some replies, cheers, happy/safe vaping
