Hey guys just scooped up a evic. Can't seem to find the answer to this question...

It's there anyway to lock the voltage preset I prefer to vape at. For example I generally like to vape at 3.9 volts. I don't feel comfortable how simple the ability to turn up or down the voltage, with the ring dial. So I'd prefer to lock the setting.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

No lock that I know about but you can go into MVR and tweek the settings to your preference and save multiple profiles. Just out of curiosity how could it accidentally get changed? The ring requires quite a turn to adjust settings

I have actually had this happen on multiple occasions, mainly while driving. I mainly use my provari now while driving and out and about. I still use the evic at home, and when i am messing around with trying something new on an atty.

Well, living in NYC. I commute using the public transit. There are occasions where I run to catch a bus/train and just jam it into my pocket with out turning off the device. I don't want this to be an issue in the future and to be paranoid every time I do that that I have to check a soon as I sit down on the bus if it changed my voltage. I mean having this option would probably be an easy add-on to a firmware upgrade.

Then again, what do I know about coding and what's involved...

I am actually surprised a device like this doesn't have this option already in it, considering it has almost everything else you could want vape related. I love the ease of changing the voltage, but do feel uneasy about it at the same time. Regardless, this device is great and happy to have purchased it.

Couldn't you just make an RVV profile, set to 3.9 Volt from beginning to end and then set your eVic to use that? Changing between RVV/RVW/VW/VV takes turning and holding the ring to the right for 2 seconds or so, so should be a bit more "fail-safe".
I've never used those profiles though, and I've sold my eVic so can't check for myself, if using the RVV/RVW profiles requires the puffs to last the length which you've set in the profile, or if you can just release the button and it'll cut off then.

Thanks, now that's an idea. Must check this out when I get home.

ya this ^^.

You can still use manual mode as normal. No need to vape the entire 10 secs. :)

I use watts, but I set mine to come on strong and level off at a lower wattage the longer I drag. Heats it up fast, but doesn't keep getting hotter and burn the wick. Really cool feature of the evic.
