This is what I've gathered by a quick google search....Ruyan, the company who invented and first marketed the e-cig use to have this mysterious secret mythical flavor cartridge called RY4, which BTW is no longer available. Did it also contain tobacco or something forbidden? Why isn't it no longer available? It seems like a silly telephone flavor game. I doubt there are many people in the e-cig community have ever tried the original. They are comparing their RY4 formula to another copycat.

Ha! You are lucky if you ever even get one!!! He makes it in small batches and it sells out within minutes. I haven't ever gotten any and probably won't; I don't want to totally love a juice I can only get every once in awhile. I have enough cravings for other things... I don't want to add another. Cravings for analogs finally gone, tho. :)

Don at Backwoods Brew is working diligently to get RY4 available all the time. If you check the homepage of the website, he has announced a second and third round of RY4 will be available in the very near future. He hopes to have this flavor available more often, and is working hard with his flavor vendors to make this happen. So, if you missed out the last time it was available, you will have more chances soon enough.

As far as RY4 flavors, it is as simple as a tobacco base with vanilla and caramel. Now, what vapers expect that to be and what individual vendors sell as RY4 is completely up to personal interpretation. Some vapers want it sweet with a light tobacco flavor, whereas others expect heavy tobacco flavor. Some vendors try to stay true to the original idea, whereas others may add their own distinctive twist, such as a nutty or bakery flavor.

LOL....so RY4 means "vanilla caramel"

You can LOL all you want but it still doesn't change the fact that we have to order it online, spend time and money for ordering and shipping, despite the fact that caramel and vanilla can be found at home. Real point of curiousity is how do they make the liquid so clear without a bit of impurity.

LOL...I'm not a big fan either, but you never know.....

That's true, you do never know. I understand that each recipe has a different flavor, but I don't see the use in pouring money into a flavor that, I just don't like overall. It's not an under taste, or an after taste, or anything subtle about particular liquids. It's an overall flavor that I just don't find pleasant. I don't like caramel flavorings in anything, not even coffee (especially not coffee lol).

I really don't understand why you've started this thread? It appears you're poking fun at an ejuice, but that wouldn't make any sense. What is silly about the RY4 juice?

The original RY4 is still available by the way, if you're seriously interested in this flavour read the RY4 Round-up for some good options on where to start.

do all ry4's have a nutti base?

most dont actually...if you want a breakdown and really well detailed flavor description on many RY's, read the Roundup referenced earlier. Truth of the matter is most ry4's differ from one another greatly...one is my all time favorite vape but most others I have tried were either just ok or I did not care for...some I outright hated.

The original and subsequent true ry4's are tobacco, caramel, and vanilla...period. However which tobacco, what flavorings are used (PA, Flavourart, etc) and what ratio are enough variable to completely change the resulting juice.
