I think this went by a couple of three weeks ago. I am not sure what sub-forum, though. Anyway, a pill bottle with VG in it was what caught my eye.

I thought that only one bottle per size or for the topper that the o-rings went to. I store the extra o-rings that come with the topper with the other spare parts for said topper.

But, I also started buying o-rings somewhere way back. Oh, it had to do with paying shipping. I buy a range of o-ring sizes to save on future shipping, but I only needed one size at the time.

Anyway, just enough VG to keep them covered and label the bottles.

O-rings are a spare part that will always be around. It's just coincidence that ecigs need them. www.oringsandmore.com sells them in quantity cheaply.

If you are worrying about dry out or interaction with plastic bags, buy some small glass bottles and store them with a label on the outside. Good o-rings won't decompose over time. Most have shelf lives of 5 years or more.

What is O-Ring Shelf Life?

Store them in VG? im no expert, but that doesnt sound right to me. If i had to do something blindly, i would vac-seal them with one of those affordable machines (food saver) that takes all the air out of a bag. The ones that are designed for keeping meats and such long-term in the freezer.

Maybe put one of those little dehumidifier packets you get in shoe boxes and beef jerkey along with them, if you are D-day prepping or something. Goodluck

I bought a Harbor Frieght O-ring set 14? years ago, I dealt with a lot of hydraulic equipment, and still do occasionally. They've been sitting in the plastic box they came in, out in the garage their whole life. This is KS, 120- -20 temps, 0-85% humidity, etc., they are still fine. I'd imagine keeping them in a climate controlled environment, 30-40yrs shelf life?
Keep them out of direct sunlight and dry of petroleum products, I bet they out last both of us!
