On the manual versions of the king diamond and stealth batts. This test has been on going for a bit, used two xl's for it. One was a non-VT KD, the other a VT stealth. They were never deep cycled, but as stated were used only with the old school wall charger and the usb charger. Only wow cartos were used with these. Here's some results with using on the slim line- http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/278785-slim-line-charging-cycles-info.html

VT Stealth XL manual with USB charger-

Average off load starting voltage was 4.28v

First use on load voltage-

XL- 4.19 (at start), 4.19 (9min), 4.18 (18min), 4.17 (27min), 4.15 (36min), 4.14 (45min), 4.13 (54min), 4.12 (63min), 4.11 (72min), 4.10 (81min), 4.08 (90min), 4.06 (99min), 4.05 (108min), 4.03 (117min), 4.02 (126min), 4.01 (135min), 4.0 (144min), 4.0 (153min), 3.99 (162min), 3.98 (171min), 3.96 (180min), 3.94 (189min), 3.93 (198min), 3.92 (207min), 3.91 (216min), 3.89 (225min), 3.88 (234min), 3.86 (243min), 3.85 (252min), 3.84 (261min), 3.83 (270min), 3.81 (279min), 3.76v (288min), after another 3 minutes stopped.

After 122 charges saw a significant drop off in run time, at charge 125 did a full voltage panel again-

XL- 4.19 (at start), 4.17 (9min), 4.16 (18min), 4.14 (27min), 4.13 (36min), 4.11 (45min), 4.09 (54min), 4.07 (63min), 4.04 (72min), 4.01 (81min), 3.98 (90min), 3.96 (99min), 3.93 (108min), 3.90 (117min), 3.88 (126min), 3.86 (135min), 3.84 (144min), 3.81 (153min), 3.77 (162min), 3.73 (171min), stopped there

That's a 117 minute difference, almost a 41% drop off in run time just by using the USB charger. Having gotten as many as 438 charges from a stealth by avoiding deep cycling and only using the slim line, and as few as 378 that's not even a third of the cycles gotten under the same conditions with the slim line.

King Diamond XL with Old School Wall Adapter-

Average starting off load voltage- 4.26v

XL- 4.19 (at start), 4.19 (9min), 4.18 (18min), 4.15 (27min), 4.14 (36min), 4.12 (45min), 4.10 (54min), 4.09 (63min), 4.07 (72min), 4.05 (81min), 4.04 (90min), 4.03 (99min), 4.02 (108min), 4.01 (117min), 4.0 (126min), 4.0 (135min), 3.99 (144min), 3.98 (153min), 3.97 (162min), 3.96 (171min), 3.94 (180min), 3.92 (189min), 3.91 (198min), 3.91 (207min), 3.89 (216min), 3.87 (225min), 3.86 (234min), 3.85 (243min), 3.84 (252min), 3.83 (261min), 3.81 (270min), 3.72 (279min), and stopped.

After 188 charges noticed it's a drop off in use time, waited until it's 200th to do a voltage panel-

XL- 4.19 (at start), 4.17 (9min), 4.15 (18min), 4.13 (27min), 4.10 (36min), 4.08 (45min), 4.05 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.01 (72min), 3.99 (81min), 3.96 (90min), 3.94 (99min), 3.92 (108min), 3.90 (117min), 3.87 (126min), 3.85 (135min), 3.82 (144min), 3.78 (153min), 3.73 (162min), stopped there.

Again 117 minute difference, a 42% drop off from previous, though at least it was 66 more charges than that of the USB before drop off. It's still just under half of the minimum number of charges I've gotten from avoiding deep cycling and using the slim line....

Hope this helps

Lesson: ONLY use the Slim Chargers for your KDs and VTs . . . unless you're loaded with cash and happen to like replacing your batteries extra frequently! :D

Sorry, did someone call?

Seriously, I've deep-cycled continuously since changing to manual velvet Vapor Titans coupled with tanks. I just don't notice the drop off soon enough, and have an ongoing issue with the batts not firing every button push.
Fortunately my tastes do change, and I seem to buy a heap of new batteries every few months anyway. Right now I've been enjoying the bright velvet touch diamonds, who knows when the need for plain black all with green leds will again strike.

I have no choice but to deep cycle ...i have about 5 batteries i use and rotate and i usually have a couple with me when im gone all day so.....gonna try the ego from them soon to help me out . I tend to spend my money on new juices and blanks before i buy batteries so its my own fault but lately other budgets have had to come first .

Get an eGo. It's worth it on the battery life alone. I'll get a charge for about a day and a half with my "regular" use. Still I've been using eGos on battery life alone. :D

I have to agree with this. the eGo batteries have a life span that is hard to believe until seen on coolcarts. I'd hate to try to use a tank with anything else, the current draw is so massive (at 1.5 ohms) that little skinny batteries wouldn't be worth screwing on.

Quick questions for you EGO users (because I don't feel like digging up the answers :))

-How long will an EGO run a 1.5ohm tank with heavy use?
-What is the voltage output? (Starts at 4.2 I think?)
-What is the cutoff? (before it quits giving a hit)
-What is the charge time?

Reason I ask is that I bought a similar battery from a different vendor. I love the run time vs. charge time but it runs at 3.7v and only has a 5 sec cutoff. It serves its purpose as a longer running battery for the tanks but doesn't give nearly the "oomph" like the regular XL VK batteries. Thanks in advance!

TheScootness sir can give you some answers-

1. Have killed one in 78 minutes with heavy vaping and using dual coil tanks. Compare that to the 15 minutes of about the same use on a king diamond shorty.
2. Will be between 3.94-4.01v on load at start with the 1.5ohm dc's, and will drop quickly. The cells in the ego power band so to speak is from 3.78-3.65v, meaning it will stay at that voltage range the longest during it's charge cycle.
3. About 9.5 seconds on average. Highest I've seen is 11.2 on one, lowest 7.8.
4. From completely drained to fill on the slim line- Right around 432 minutes in my testing (over 7 hours).

Hope this helps.
