King Diamond voltage info

I started doing tests on this not too long ago when I was reviewing another piece of hardware. This is by no means complete, and only a small sample. I will be giving an update in a few weeks after I get the new stealth batteries (sorry, these tests do take some time). They were all conducted with Wow cartos at 2.2 ohm (that took a little searching), right off the charger so I could give as equal a rating as possible. This test was done by means of chain vaping as much as possible in the amounted time and checking the output every 9 minutes.

Shorty #1
4.2 at start (as), 4.2 (9min in), 4.12 (18min), 4.12 (27min), 4.10 (36min), 4.09 (45min), 4.07 (54min), 4.03 (63min), 4.01 (72min), 4.0 (81min), 3.96 (90min), 3.93 (99min), 3.82 (108min), 3.76 (117min), about 3 minutes later it flashed singaling recharge

Shorty #2
4.2 (as), 4.2 (9min), 4.19 (18min), 4.17 (27min), 4.13 (36min), 4.10 (45min), 4.07 (54min), 4.05 (63min), 4.03 (72min), 4.01 (81min), 3.99 (90min), 3.91 (99min), 3.83 (108min), 3.71 (117min), after that needed to recharge

Hope this helps anyone wondering the voltages. There is a slight difference from batt to batt, from what I've seen those that put out higher voltage longer do not last as long as those who don't. In other words YMMV.

WOW...This is very interesting Morandir ! Thank you for doing that. I was wondering if it was just me or it was 'kinda' normal for the XL to last only about 4 hrs chain vaping. I don't chain vape as much as I used to but that's cool stuff to know about all of it.

Thank you Morandir, very well presented and informative. I am a serious chain vapor and was wondering how long the shorty were going to last me, debating on getting a few. I was also wondering on the voltage on my regular batteries (couldn't get a good read with my multi meter). Not sure if there would be a difference but did you use an auto or manual?

I will post the info I have on the regular manuals next time I'm on my comp for you Ms. Ambrossiaa. The only autos I own are shorties and the king diamonds.

I am pleasantly surprised by those shorty numbers, close to 2 hours steady is remarkable. Good work. Question do you find the switch tech on the diamond series the same as on the newer regular (i.e., ash cap) autos?

It surprised me as well Snow sir, and yes buzz was an understatement on the xl. I made the mistake of using nuport wow 36 on that one.

This was a labor of love, very much worth it though Ms. Iowa Gal. Just doing my part to give whatever info I can to help the family.

Morandir, any opinion on the bargain bin shorties and how they stack up to the newer ones? I have stuck to reg auto and man so far but thinking about scoring a pair of shorties.

Lawilli sir the bargin bin shorties are awesome. I will be doing a full test of one of those tomorrow as well for you if you want. I know they stay at above 4v for the first 30 minutes from some early runs...
