Hi Trashguy,
I've been vaping since April 2009. I felt great for the first couple of weeks.
The crackle in my chest went away almost immediately. Stopped coughing up brown crap in the morning. I can smell smokers now... in the car behind me at a traffic light!! whether that's good or bad... I quit smoking in my house and if this kills me, they can bury me in something that doesn't smell like cigarette smoke.
But overall, I have battled with sinus and ear issues that have only subsided when I supplemented with analogs for a short time.
The bleeding gums only lasted a couple of weeks but my gums have been receding since shortly after I started vaping and I never had any dental issues in 35 years of smoking 2+ packs a day.
Weight gain, depression, brain fog....
For me, It's not the be all and end all. It's just a choice.
Weight gain, depression, brain fog, bleeding gums - ALL symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.
Along with a whole slew of other symptoms too, including, for example, chest tightness, sleep disturbances, sore throat, coughing, mucus, headaches, gas, stomach pains, etc, etc.
WhyQuit - Nicotine Withdrawal and Recovery Symptoms
I cannot tell you how many times I've seen people talk about "symptoms" they attribute to vaping (or to e-liquid ingredients), when the most likely basis for them is the reduction in nicotine they are getting from stopping smoking!
i would love to believe this but i havent seen any concrete proof that we are getting less nicotine. i did switch from 11mg which i started with to 6mg and 0mg for a week and had a bad reaction , light headed, couldnt concentrate and feeling cloudy. i went back to 11mg and the same liquid brand and it went away. since then i did have a few cloudy days though. im still not sure if it was lower nic , different brand e juice or body adjusting to not smoking tobacco?
I'd like to hear experiences from someone who has used e-cigs from the very beginning...2004 or 2006?
