Hey guys!
So I've lurked for a long time, I guess it's time to start giving the username a voice!
I was a 2 pack a day smoker, started smoking at 13 and was 24 when I bought my first vape on March 5, 2014....
My buddy had one and I tried it mid-February and kept hounding him to help me buy one right away.... I decided to try to cut down to only 5 cigarettes per day during lent, and I was sticking to it but was miserable.
On my way to the vendor I had a bit over 10 belmonts left in the pack and decided to toss them away to see how long I could go without one. My first e-cig was an Innokin iTaste VV with Kanger Protank, 18MG nic... I LOVED the taste and was hooked on the whole concept.... well.. the day I bought my first e-cig was also the last day I smoked an analog.
I had quit once before for 8 months, and I hate myself for ever starting again... but the exact same thing happened.... 2 weeks of coughing out nasty crap.... then, I CAN BREATH AGAIN! wait.... I CAN SMELL AGAIN.... no, I don't need the salt, no I don't need extra sauce for my ribs.... it was sensory euphoria!
Well... down the rabbit hole I went... nothing about me is moderate, if I like something I jump into it head first.... 2 months later I have 2 iTaste VV's, 2 MVPs and 6 different attys (Kanger & Nautilus)
I kept eyeing mechmods & RDA's.... 3 months in I started rebuilding coils for my protanks & loved it... I'm a DIYer at heart, I used to be a carpenter and now work at a desk all day long so I jump at every opportunity to use my hands and let the testosterone flow!
3 weeks ago I took the plunge, and I purchased a Patriot RDA with a Hexohm boxmod.... I love this thing! I'm a flavor chaser & a cloud chaser.... I love it....
I've been able to get 8 of my closest friends to quit with me, and one (mechanic) is about to jump into RDA's as well.
Thank you all so much for letting me learn from your numerous failures and successes, it has allowed me to progress very quickly!
Within 3 weeks I went from knowing nothing about RDAs to building nano-coils, micro-coils, macro-coils, dual coils, quad coils, clapton coils, dragon coils... I just cant stop!!!!
They're really fun to make... right now I'm vaping on a .54 ohm dual-micro coil.... and I just made my first impulse buy on fast-tech... I'm wary of their build quality but I'd rather experiment with a clone and keep my favorite setup on the authentic...
I purchased a patriot clone, trident clone, a stillare storm clone, tugboat clone, mutation x clone and 2 nemi's plus misc stuff (Drip tips, tweezers, etc.)
Thank you all for your advice & experience... hopefully one day soon I'll be able to contribute to newbs like myself!
