So, I've had an account here for 3-4 years, but mostly lurked. (I just looked at my posting history, and it looks like I posted a couple of times before the rules changed.)

Since I got serious about vaping in November of 2010 and gave up cigarettes entirely, I've been reading more and more. I thought I'd actually see if I had anything worth contributing to some of the threads I'm reading.

A little about me: I went from a 510 starter kit in '10 to a couple of Saber Touches with DCT tanks in '11 to '12, to a Provari and a Zmax with Drunker tanks (and the occasional Vivi Nova for testing new flavors) fairly recently. I'm 37. I am a Leo. I'm preparing to get married again (and this time to the right person). From the prior marriage, I have two children, which are the sole redeeming factors of the years spent in that union. I listen to (primarily comedy-oriented) podcasts almost exclusively. I used to play guitar and actually still do from time to time. I used to be funny on Twitter when that was still fun to do.

I don't have a smooth ending for this post.

Well, it's about time! And I thought I was extreme for lurking for 9 months before my first post! I'm glad you finally decided to join us.

Congratulations on your vaping success! And on your coming marriage! And on FINALLY coming out of stealth mode into the light!

So, you've been lurking/peeking for almost 4 years? Have you seen any of us naked?

I don't have a smooth ending for this post.

Actually, I thought that was a pretty good ending

Welcome jqlynch.

I myself also thought I would just read from all these threads on ECF and make my own decisions about how to stay off cigarettes via vaping. I was never a social networking kind of person, but since I've started contributing posts on this forum I've learned so much more than just from reading and have never been so confident about having quit smoking. You'll be surprised how much more you learn from contributing. I find this community with a generally common goal of making vaping more pleasant for themselves and others more interesting and friendly than facebook, twitter, instagram, pretty much anything where people are just advertising themselves or EVERYTHING they do.

By the way, not that there's anything wrong at all with having shared somethings about yourself here, it's just not my personal style on this forum. Anyway, hope you get what your looking for from here. Be constructive and polite and you'll be more than welcome by ECF peoples. Have fun!

PS: I'm also a LEO :D

Thank you, very much! I appreciate it.

I haven't seen anyone here naked! Unless there's a particularly unconventional subforum around here that I've not yet seen, I'm not likely to, either. :) I'm less like a peeping tom than I am a guy looking in a window at a restaurant wishing he could go in. And then people inside look up and see him and they're like, "Go away or come in, just don't stand there staring." And he's like, "But I don't want to talk about myself before I sit down and eat!" and this really isn't a good metaphor.

(I kind of borrowed that graceless ending in the OP from George Carlin. :) )

Congratulations for quitting smoking analogs! And thank you!

I'm ordinarily not particularly open about myself by nature, but evidently given a text box, I'll try to fill it. ;)
