Hello all,
I've been vaping for about a year-and-a-half now. I was a smoker for about 18 years until my girlfriend (now wife) bought me a vape pen. I stopped smoking grits that day and haven't had one since. I moved from a pen to the Vamo V5 and went through about five or six ProTanks with that, every one of which spit into my mouth. I finally gave up on them and got a T-Dux 4.0. It didn't spit at me, but didn't provide the airflow I was looking for. Enter Smok's Micro GDC, a tank that has been discontinued for some reason even though it was my favorite mouth-to-lung style tank and the adjustable juice coils were awesome (Why didn't that catch on?). Finally, after nearly a year and a couple of Vamos, I decided to give Sub Ohm vaping a try. My first foray into that world was with the Aspire CF Sub-Ohm kit that came with an Atlantis v1. I got mixed results with it based on the juice and realized I needed a variable wattage unit. The Sigelei Mini 30-watt Mod that I still occasionally use to this day solved my problem. However, as I'm sure many of you have experienced, once you start increasing power, you just want more! I decided to solve this problem and give temp control a try at the same time with the eLeaf 40W TC Mod. It works great for most of the Aspire coils, but the temp control feature left me wanting (Frankly, the Aspire Nickle coils are the only thing they make that straight up sucks!). Finally, I decided to drop the cash and got the XCube II and TFV4, followed shortly by the Triton 2 (My Atlantis v1 still worked fine, but just felt old and I needed an upgrade). I've been pretty happy with the TFV4's Titanium coils and the Claptons work well, just not at higher wattages (see my post in the Tank forums). The new Aspire Claptons, on the other hand, are a gift from heaven sent by Jesus himself. I ordered two boxes and before I'd even finished the first one I ordered three more.
Anyway, that's my vaping history in as short a form as I can put it. I look forward to spending some quality time on your board and having my questions answered by some experts with much more knowledge than myself. Vape on!
