Longer Boge 2.0 cartos?

...smoktech is the only manufacturer that flanges a carto...that I have seen any way...here are some long 2.0Boges 2.0 ohm low resistance cartomizers available XL sized in both Black & SS...............

That link specifically says they're SmokTech.

Even the "XL" Boge cartos that some vendors offer are only 45mm long, slightly longer than the standard Boge. There's a comparison image here that shows that they aren't as long as DC Smoktech cartos.

I wouldn't mind just cutting down a tank for the "XL" Boges, but I can't find them in the price range of standard Boge cartos. I don't really want to spend that much more for a slight length difference.

pbusardo did an extensive review between the kangers and the boges here. I found it to be pretty informative and helpful. The only thing to watch out for is that you're making sure to get juice to the very bottom of the carto and make sure to saturate it, as that is where the coil sits.

Ok, so I got the kangers in yesterday and tried them out. Absolutely terrible. That burned plastic taste overpowers the juice, I can't use them They are long enough to fit the DCT's, but the two I tried were just horrible. I did put them in tanks and the only time I was able to get rid of that taste was when I had the carto on the verge of being flooded. The bad thing about this is that if I pulled just a touch too much juice into the carto, it would leak out of the battery connector, all down the side of my mod. I'll be sticking with boges from now on. Fortunately, healthcabin has mentioned that boge is starting production on a XXL carto that is the same length as the smoketech DCT cartos.

I don't think I've tried the Kangers yet, but I've gotten that weird taste off of all the cartos I've tried, for about a day and a half. I was thinking about cleaning them out Before I use them the first time.

It's a shame that some folks give up on cartos because they have a taste to them for awhile when first when first used. I'd bet that some with thicker juices never get to the the point where the cartos run clean and clear.

I wish your thread concerning this had been in the General area, not where it is stuck at now. There are alot more people here that would be expressing their concern than there, I believe.

Ok, so I emailed myvaporstore.com (I bought the kangers from them) to let them know that I was getting a burned plastic taste. They asked me my battery type and the voltage I was vaping. I let them know that I was using an AW IC battery at 5 volts. This was the response I received:

That would explain the dry/burnt taste. Our cartomizers and atomizers are mostly standard resistance and meant for use with the 3.6v-4.2v devices sold on our website.

So, I guess that means you can't use these things with VV devices. Bummer, wish I'd known that before I ordered ten of them. If anyone is interested in trying these out, let me know, I have 8 of them to get rid of now

I will say that I am pleased that myvaporstore had such a quick response to my emails.

Yeah, ya gotta take your OHMs up when you take your voltage up. Maybe a Boge 3.0 ohm? The Kangers might work w/ a different juice tho. They have higher ohm Dual Coils also.

You might want to check out the power chart below. Find a combination of voltage and resistance that gives you about 8 watts. 3 ohms at 5v will do that.

The cones that came with my eGos leave 1/2" of the carto protruding. Riva cones must be really tall.

Nah, they are the same. I am guessing they don't like just having 1/2" of carto? I use a drip tip on the end of mine whether on my eGo or my Riva.

Yeah, I hope it isn't too long of a wait. Nothing else works like these. I ran out of boges because I was depending on the kangers. I won't make that mistake again, I've had to resort to my smoktech dual coils and they just don't measure up

I'm undecided on the dual coils. I thought my favorite carto was the emdcc, but I have to use a box mod to make it acceptable. The boges 2.0 are just too darn good straight on an ego battery. (Or in a tank of course, but all my tanks are smoketech!!!! Those shorties are gonna make me cut my tank!).

I use standard size single coil Boge cartos all the time. I use them in Chibi, Lil Mama, and M1A1 3 or 3.5 mil (don't remember) tanks all the time. I dislike dual coil cartos.
