I'm game...any rules? I'm sure some folks are familiar with the rebuild thread, haha. What's the prize...free love? :p Anywho, I'm on a few weeks on a single atty. I do totally understand what makes an atty and have observed it under the microscope, literally, and feel it should last extremely long with proper care...good rinsing, careful dry burns, and never let it run dry (let's give people a chance here :p)

Great idea McV and happy vaping!

The rules are simple: The Atty must have the original Nicrome or heating element to be the same Atty. <- Mentioned for the modders:lol:

The winner, for having such pride in their atty, will have the full bragging rights of their long lasting atty. I was thinking a Signature avatar award would be in store? (sees long line of contests in the near future lol). The winner will most likely be obvious :p

I'm still using the same 4 attys - 2 regular 510 & 2 LR510 - that I started with 5 months ago. They have only been blown out occasionally, and never cleaned. They are still working & producing good vapor & flavor. All 4 are Joye attys with no modifications. I have built up a good supply of spares - around 60 - but I've never needed them. I've also been using an LR306 atty, but I don't like it, so it doesn't get much use. I doubt, though, that I will be able to beat McVapor's record of 6 months.

I truly want someone to, I can't possibly have the longest living atty.

Being completely truthful I used to clean this atty regularly. But one day I dedicated it to RY4 and stopped. Now It's gunking up and the intake is getting much harder and longer. Its slowing to a halt so someone can beat me! And oh banjo, your really close with 4 attys at 5 months:ohmy:

My first 510 atty is still running good with nightly drains and a cleaning once a month, I don't care much for the vendor so I wont be giving them free props, but I did buy it in September 2009. my 901's never lasted more than a week, but my 801 atty from November 2009 is still running and leaking juice every where.

I've used the same standard ONE atty for 3 months straight with no alternating. It started to loose a bout 25% of performance so I shelved it for my Mega atty.
My thinking was to stick with the one then dump it when it dies rather than alternating. I feel by alternating between several the end of their life span will be around the same time and I would be without an atty. But over the now 4 months of vaping I have acquired a nice collection of attys. I am now vaping continuously with the same Mega atty, until it dies.
Also:
How about mentioning not only how long you've been vaping with the same atty but how many volts you are vaping it at.

Oh sure McVapor. Get a six month head start and then start the race, LOL. J/K, I'm at 4 months with a couple of attys.

Well, 119 days and 12 hours.

LOL wouldn't want a 6+ month long competition would ya? You can also have had a long lasting atty to win. But if the atty is now dead someone can beat ya so that person would have a disadvantage.:p. I think mines going to die any day here

So a 510 from Sep09 and a 801 from Nov09? I believe your in first place:laugh:
Come on ya gotta tell us the vendor, purely for atty purposes

7 months and 2 weeks! And still going strong. ETA: but basically all of the black paint has chipped off LOL. Hey though, she's not pretty but she gets the job done. (that's what she said)

Beat me! With the drag decreased the only thing our atties have in common is that they are bare metal. The paint chips within a month always so now I'm only buying silver attys.

I figure it that if you alternate attys as they die you won't notice performance decrease, which could be quiet bad as you don't know what your missing out on.

I am vaping at the classic 3.7v

The 801 I got along with the 901 from "Health Cabin" love that company, and the 510 came in with a gold band and calling its self an E-NI or Electronic Nicotine Inhaler if that helps. I guess I shouldn't complain to much it worked a lot better than my first e-cig an ss no.7 which still runs but then again it didn't get worked all that much.

All of my attys are used on REO & Phidias mods at 3.7v.............

I have my attys from Joye 510 9 months old and still running *letting my mom use my 510 right at the moment*, I have been running LR Atty with my Riva eGo and it has been running well over 5 weeks now and no Cigarettes since I got this combo and even added a Drip Tip, still producing a ton of vapor and I have not even cleaned it at all or dry burned it at all! LR attys are the only way to go now :D

Cheers,
Charlie
