Actually, the "battery holder/contact switch"... AKA the mech mod, can be just as important as the batteries you use. The best quality batteries (Mooch's terrific 18650 testing will clear up the advertising BS) are only as good as the conductivity potential of the mech they are used in.If you just buy the best batteries with the highest amp draw possible you pretty much safe and all aspects right
Lowest I'll go is .2 on a mech you get below .1 your within the tolerance range of most testers. But would like to try .08-.05 just to see

66 barracuda here love itImagine driving a car without a tach. And the only way to control how fast you drive is to put certain grades of unleaded gas into it. Yea high amp good quality batts will serve as a backup safety protocol but the primary safety is your knowledge of builds and battery safety is huge among unregulated mechs. Someone will be along shortly to give you hours of endless reading on batteries.
I had this long drawn out analogy but deleted it wasn't sure how much you knew about cars. I recind my previous thought.66 barracuda here love it

You do realize that a .08 - .05 build would draw 55-80 amps right? No single battery can handle that...But would like to try .08-.05 just to see
