Just as a follow up for the OP (Sheri411) … I received my V3 Vamo yesterday.

Pleased to report that it met all my expectations and im very happy with the purchase.

It compliments my eGo twist beautifully, as now I have something which is primarily for home use, and the eGo has become my leave the house vaping setup.

The biggest perk is the ability to change batteries because I have been running the eGo dead before I got a full days’ worth of vaping, which became an irritating inconvenience.

On a side note, I already had a lot of the items requires to get a mod like this up and running, which was an assortment of battries and chargers which were originally purchased for use with flashlights I have…

I personally really enjoy my vamo, take it to work everyday with me, knock on wood, I haven't had any issues with it yet. I have at least knocked it over on my desk 60+ times, keep waiting to pick it up and it not work, but so far so good. Also I must be one of the lucky ones, i bought an ego adapter when i got the vamo, but everytank, evod/protank, ce4, ce4+ 501 drippers, f15..so far i have never had to use the adapter. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong for a decent vv/vw mod.

Awesome! Thanks for the update. Would really like to check out a v3 vamo.

I have a Vamo V2 enroute from FastTech but in the back of my mind I'm wishing I had gone with the SID. I'm concerned with the usability of the ego threads on the V2. I think it was Phil Busardo that said an ego skirt will fit the V2 but not a Kangar T3 or Pro Tank - not enough room and no removable top ring. I also ordered a 510 to 510 coupler to protect the suspect 510 connector on the Vamo. Hopefully the connector on the latest V2's is not as flimsy. The V3 seems to be a slightly better mod, but like some folks, I can't dig those weird spirals.

I wasn't too sure about the spiral pattern either, but they don't bother me at all. It actually does make it less slippery without any real grippy surfaces on it. So far I can't complain about my V3 at all, I'm loving it.

I hear everyone say the V3 looks like crap, and I’ll admit I want thrilled about them either expecially when I looked at pictures of the chrome or gunmetal chrome. After I saw the stainless ones go for sale I didn’t care, I ordered it because I’m a total sucker for anything in stainless steel.

With that said, in person the V3 looks a world better in person than on the website pictures. I got mine in stainless and after getting it I think it looks fantastic. I don’t think the website pictures do it justice. See one in person and I think you would be pleasantly surprised.

To be honest, regardless of the way it looks, I would have gone with the V3. I think it’s just a better mod than the V2 technically speaking. It has 510 and Ego threading with a removable shield around the head which the V2 doesn’t have. It’s got a newer PCB/Firmware with a nicer screen… RMS is default, and based on my DMM it looks pretty accurate across the board. I have really been enjoying this mod.

One nice trick ive been using with my Kanger protank with the V3 is the beauty ring that came with it for use with eGo batts… Put that on first like you would with an eGo, and you can use it as a lock rings when installing a protank or any other tank. Its extremely stable, locked in, tank doesn’t wobble… It’s very durable and pocket friendly.

Bottom line… especially considering the price, I don’t see a reason NOT to buy a Vamo V3.
