I went to Wally World this morning and picked up an Innova 3300 digital, for $12.00 in the Auto electrical area. Seems to be a good little unit and pretty accurate. If your wanting a MM, check it out.
Harbor Freight has them on sale this month for $3.99
It's a CEN-TECH unit. I use the same one and it's great for voltage. Can be a little dodgy if you're trying to get an exact OHM reading from an atty or carto but it certainly works and for $4 I can't complain about it...
I just bought the 3320 from wal mart today. Works great. I bought the 4.99 one from harbor freight and it works on volts. Its 3 ohms off on the Rez. O well. Its not worth the gas money to return the thing.

Exactly right. I needed one and I happened to be at Harbor Freight already. Wasn't complaining as I really just needed an extra one to test batteries for my office.
The 4.99 one at HF won't check 12 Volts battery. But the 3320 has a option to check 1.5, 6 and 12. I wish they had 3.7 too. I just turn the dial to the 6V and check. Looks like inferno don't go 3.7 lol. I going to have to get a mod to see what a true 3.7 is.

My Fluke model 76 has been through any kind of environmental condition that exists on earth, and still works like new.
I check the calibration every few months.
It was purchased used ten years ago.
Ya git what ya pay for.
If it don't say Fluke, it's not to be trusted...
Don't feel bad. I have a Fluke T5-1000 (around $100) that won't even read ohms correctly. But my Fluke 787 process meter is spot on. Better be, it was $650.00. Harbor Freight one should be fine for anyone who just wants to get a volt reading (or basic home stuff).
