I'd recommend the Xtar XP4. Xtar has better QC and warranties. I've always read about the occasional dead Nitecore charger, never an Xtar.

Plus, all the nitecore chargers drop down to a 350mA charge as soon as you plop in more than one battery, which is painfully and obnoxiously slow for any battery above 2000mAh. The Xtar 4 bays can do 1000mA x2 and 500mA x4 charge, the difference being hours and hours quicker.

With how slow the Nitecore works, you'll get more batteries charged using one slot on an Xtar charger compared to using all four in an i4 intellicharger. Make sense?

Good luck

Actually the D4 is 750mA 1 or 2 batteries, 500mA 3-4 batteries.

Ahh, good to know. Guess the D4 stepped it up a bit eh?

Still, my personal opinion is that Xtar is pretty solid overall across their entire line of chargers. I haven't owned a Nitecore, but like I said, I've read about plenty of them going bad... not the other way around. That could just be that they are more popular to (a bit less expensive) and more vapers own a Nitecore, so likely more of them could be going bad on pure numbers.

Either way.. it's a charger. LOL

My d4 doesn't drop down unless you put in 3 or more. Charges 2 at 750 and 3-4 at 375. I often turn bays down to low when charging anything smaller than an 18490 just because of how hot they'll get at a 750mA charge rate, and by my understanding the lower the charge rate the better for long term health of your battery. So that 1A charge rate will charge faster at the cost of needing new batteries sooner, and at 750mA I can already charge 18650s faster than I can use them.

Not that I've heard anything but good things about Xstar chargers.

Yup...

We are kinda of splitting heirs here, but the proof is in the pudding. Want to purchase a charger and basically never question it again? Xtar from a reputable dealer.

Done.
