Hi all! I'm planning to get an extra battery for my pico and also a charger. I have a MXJO and my first option was to get an LG battery (HG2) here in Peru and buy a Nitecore UM10 on FT or Aliexpress. On Aliexpress I found a pack of 1 LG HG2 with a VariCore charger. I was trying to find some information about this charger, but I could not get any. Have any of you ever used it? Or do you have any other recommendation?
Thanks in advance for all the help.

I wouldn't get batteries from aliexpress. A good chance that they're fakes. For a charger I'd recommend an Xtar.

I would Stay Away from Aliexpress for Batteries. Too Many Re-Wraps and Fakes.

I haven't heard of many problems with Batteries that came from Fasttech. But I have watched it closely.

For a Good All-Around 20 Amp Battery, I like these...

$11.84 Authentic LG 18650HG2 3.6V 3000mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) - 20A continuous discharge / 30A peak current / unprotected at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

As for a Charger, I have one of these and it does Everything I want a Charger to do.

$25.25 Authentic XTAR VC4 4 Slots Li-ion Ni-MH Premium USB Battery Charger - 4*0.5A / 2*1A at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

'Good' and 'cheap' are almost always mutually exclusive. XTAR and Nitecore are both good brands.
MXJO are re-wrappers known for horribly performing cells with ludicrously over rated specs, avoid them like a bad smell.

I have the vc4 and I like it a lot. Use it as my travel charger. Important to get a good 2+ (for the vc4) or 1+ (for the vc2) amp usb adapter though.

Amazon sells the Xtar 2A adapter for about $10. I ordered one after using an 8A (advertised) 4 port adapter that wouldn't go to 2A because of it's inability to deliver rated current. It was spec'ed for 2.1A per port. The Xtar adapter hasn't missed a beat in almost a year.

I'd add that while Xtar and Nitecore make good chargers, their batteries are unreliable rewraps. Stick with Sony, Samsung or LG for the batteries.

I'm still impressed with the specs on the Gyrfalcon al-88, but not the price. It seems to be the best all around charger for Li-on cells at 1A, but for the time being I'll just stick with my Efest Luc4 and my Xtar VC4 until a price drop. $50 and $55 are the cheapest prices I've found.

It's going to take some competition for 1A charging in all bays to create a fight over the high end charger market. Right now even the Efest Luc6 offers little competition in the market unless you want Android phone control.
