Thanks, but again, the Igo-L (basically the only atty I ever use) doesn't fit nicely on these sidewinder-type devices

The El Kapitan is the shortest mod I know of at the moment. It is even shorter than the nemmy by a good 1-2mm. As for pricing, it is not cheap.

I'm not usually vain when it comes to mods... but I wish it weren't so ugly! With that said, it's nice and small, but spendy. Thank you for the picture though, this is EXACTLY the kind of info I need!

For reference, from left to right:
AW IMR 18350
GP Paps
Atmizoo Dingo
HCigar Chi You Clone
Kamry Telescopic Storm

Smaller tends to be more expensive it seems... The Chi You clone is a pretty solid performer, but it's somewhere between 0.5 and 0.75 inches taller than the Paps. KTS is a bit taller still.

Just playing around with mechs the last few months, what I'm seeing is that the bottom-button mods tend to be shorter than bottom side-button mods.

The Chels Micro Stick is on my watch list--I don't think they get much smaller than that!

I do like the Paps, but don't want to wait around for one of these "limited run" mods. They only make a few so they can run the price up, which I think is ridiculous.

It seems I keep coming back to the Dingo... and again, thanks for the picture, it's VERY much appreciated!

Which is called.... ?

It's called the Sentinel M16 Mod Telescoping E-Cigarette Battery Compartment gold. Sorry, I can't post links with my phone. It is $16.22. Vapor Tek USA has the aluminum/brass version, which I also have. It's a great performer but I doubt the longevity of aluminum 510 threads. If you plan to run a dripper or some other atty that doesn't need to be taken off frequently its not a big deal but if you use a bottom fill device like the kayfun lite you'll probably run into troubles eventually with the aluminum. I think vaportekusa is getting 24 bucks for it.image.jpg

Put a flat top on your chi-u clone. vape rev has them for 20 bux. Put my clone @ 18350. shorter then my PAPS, GUS & JM22. & my wallet wont hurt when i drop it. daily beater, see how a russian 91% does on it in a few weeks.

I dont care for tele mods. Mine are mostly solid tube. For under 25 bux at my front door...

Ordered. For $20, if nothing else it will be a perfect "spare". They also had some 18350's (which I needed anyways) and the Igo-W which I've been wanting to try. Mod, Igo, and 2 batteries for $45 shipped! Thanks!!!

You're very welcome, I hope it was helpful.

Last I saw, domovaporco had the SS Paps 2.5 in stock for $140ish. About the same as what you'd pay for a Dingo.

I'm a little baffled here. Button-top/flat top has no affect on the height of the mod; the telescoping center post adjusts for differences in battery height. It all happens inside the mod, with no effect on its external dimensions. The way it's configured in the picture I posted is as short as it gets--threads are down as far as they will go...

Do we have different versions maybe??

What is the best 18350 battery for sub ohm vaping? below 0.8 ohm.

I wouldn't take an 18350 much lower than 0.8 ohms. AW IMR would be the way to go. I tried a couple Efests and they just don't perform as well--don't seem to give as much vape time despite the higher mAh rating.

Lighthound has specs and data sheets for the AW IMR 18350s. Run the numbers through an ohm's law calculator and you should see that a fully charged battery is right up on the amp limit of the AW 18350 at 0.7 ohms.

My advice to you would be to run your mod in 18500 mode with an 18490 if you want to go below 0.8 ohms. It's only 1.5cm taller and has a higher amp limit--it can handle going lower than the 350. Run the numbers (again, you should be able to find them on lighthound) to verify that the setup you have in mind is kosher.

Good luck! Don't hesitate to ask if you've got questions.

    Happy vaping!

i think hes referring to the top cap of the device rather than the top of the battery.

That looks awesome... however, I bet it's stupidly expensive (one of those stupid "limited run" things) because it's "different" and has a whole bunch of stupid engraving. Also, I can't find anyone that actually SELLS it.

If they made one for $50 with no stupid engraving .... on it, I'd buy one on the spot.
